Café Ruoge in Castlebar legal

Was recommended this cafe when I was heading to Castlebar for Connacht v Munster match. Staff were very welcoming & good gluten free options. Very pleased that I was told about it.

Really gorgeous little cafe. The wait staff were exceptionally lovely, the menu was interesting and the food was clearly homemade and delicious. Good value too. Definitely recommending stopping here!

Breakfast is special here. Lovely staff.

The food is good, but limited veg and vegan options

Got some take away coffee (soy flat white) which was really lovely! Would love to have the option for almond milk but still very good! :)

Went for a Birthday lunch. We had the vegetarian special at €16.95 each, had some pink lemonades, an espresso and a slice of cake which all came to nearly €47, which I felt was a little expensive. We were asked if we wanted water three times but it did eventually arrive on the third request. The espresso was served in the wrong cup but we where most disappointed with the cake- we saw the lady next to us handed a large slab of cake which looked lovely, so we ordered a piece to share and was delivered a slice too small for a child, never mind to share :). Still lesson learnt. The meal was lovely but the staff seem a little distracted and everything is a little over priced.
