Chicken Hut in Limerick

From France came to Limerick for the Easter week-end, went to this fine local cuisine restaurant after a beer tasting that went for too long than initially scheduled with our local cousins. The service and food quality was perfect and delighted us although the place was packed and clients particular and not easy to cope with. Did the job and we had a convivial meal in family. Would advice to avoid going there between 3 and 4 am, busy time. We advice the fried chicken menu with the gravy sauce, not many vegetables but a must do. The seating goes with a wonderful view of the town. In order to improve the experience, the security team could be less tensed, thinking about our friend Bubble 💙🐔Keep the good work, you are the symbol of the local gastronomy. 5/5 — Chicken Hut Changed Me as a Person I came into Chicken Hut hungry. I left enlightened. The chicken tender meal was unreal, golden, crispy on the outside, impossibly juicy on the inside, seasoned so perfectly it felt intentional, almost sacred. Each bite didn’t just taste good, it transcended my taste buds. This is chicken that knows its purpose. The chips were hot, fluffy, generously seasoned, and refusing to be ignored. Main-character energy. The Coke was ice-cold and sharp, the perfect reset between bites. And the service? Impeccable. The Eastern European legend behind the till was calm, polite, and effortlessly professional, the kind of presence that makes you trust the food before you even taste it. A true asset to the place. Chicken Hut isn’t just food, it’s an experience. I didn’t just eat here. I was changed here. Will be back. Probably tomorrow.

Amazing food and very fast service

I listened to the Chicken Hut Blindboy podcast on the way to Ireland, as recommended by my Irish boyfriend. My mouth was watering on the plane and I simply couldn’t wait to go to Chicken Hut. You walk inside and it’s like a time capsule. The place is overwhelmingly run down but if you were born in the 90s, it gives you that warm nostalgic feeling that maccies would provide you as a child. Boyfriend and I went for the gravy chip and 4 pieces of chicken. Presentation wasn’t incredible but hear me out, it’s all part of the experience. The gravy, it’s seriously proper stuff. It’s as thick as mashed potatoes, peppery and rich. The chicken, juicy, herbaceous, spicy, unique. I can’t wait to come back. The forks in the bag, you ghoul! I’ve saved the carrier bag to stick on my bedroom wall to savour this experience.
