Christy's Bar in Kilkenny

Exceptional bar, you go to the corner and smoke, you feel like you're smoking a cigarette in your aunt's garden. The pool table is free, just don't mention it to the waitress.

Went there first drinks , very friendly , grate pint and atmosphere.

Service was very friendly, beer was tasty, it wasn't the last time we were there.

Stopped off here for lunch and had the soup combi. It was absolutely delicious. We had the leak and potato soup with a cheese and ham sandwich ( opted not to have a toastie). The soup was hot and delicious and the sandwich was so fresh with plenty of filling. The coffee was great as well

It was suggested by staff at Information Centre to have a meal and coffee at Christy's. We were served by Aisling who helped us set up table outside then explained what a Boxty was and that we should try one. I purchased the Lunchtime Boxty and it has to be one of the best meals I have had. The coffee was excellent as well. Service was excellent and Hugh explaining the best way to get to Clifden topped the whole experience off. Fantastic lunch and a great experience
