Great pub, good for sport and lovely pub grub. Service is a bit slow, but also a busy spot!

Rooms are fantastic, and great value. I have just had the best Asian meal outside of Asia. Staff are attentive and have great interaction with customers. I will be back.

Excellent place. Where to begin? So I'm new in town, quite literally. I usually have my reservations about gastropubs since the kitchens usually produce subpar food at an inefficient standard (and who's to blame for that - it's a way for pubs to stop going under). However, I was informed that the kitchen is operated by a team of Thai chefs which explains why the menu comprises primarily of oriental foods, and fairly high-quality food. But how was the food? With the starter, I ordered spring rolls and they filled a spot that could cure a void. The wrapper had a crunch that could crack the sound barrier in the best possible way, the vegetables were sauteed to a level of perfection that emanated joy from the depths of my aul' soul, and the sauce was a perfectly sweet accompaniment. The steak, on the other hand, was a tricky client to navigate after a really impressive starter dish. I asked Calvin for medium-rare and when the steak came it was, in no doubt, medium-rare but not thoroughly. I genuinely believe a rib eye steak is a lot like alcohol - even when it's bad it's still pretty good. And sure, it tasted good, just not thirty three quid worth of good. The red wine sauce was relatively watery which was somewhat disappointing but didn't even come into mind when I tasted the chips, which were delicious. The desert was a Malteser sundae, recommended with confidence by Calvin and I'm genuinely glad he recommended it because it was delicious. It was a perfect amalgamation and layering of dairy heavenly delight, comprising of cream, ice cream, syrup and fudge all harmonizing magnificently like a barbershop quartet. Another small compliment to pay to Cunningham's - they serve coffee and tea. Why don't pubs do this anymore? I've always felt an affinity towards traditionally Irish pubs serving a cup of love, a cup of what's close to home, so I always feel good whenever I'm given this option. Big W for you, Cunningham's. As for the atmosphere, vibes and customer service, top marks from myself and then some. And then there's Calvin! My Dad, his girlfriend and I were served by quite possibly the soundest bloke I've had the pleasure of dealing with in a while. He took our orders efficiently, wasted no time, and still managed to have a warm and friendly conversation with me before he brought the dishes out not long after being ordered. It's imperative to say this but I feel most hospitality staff just comprise of people - just people who get the job and that's that. This man is quite literally a professional gentleman, if you could call a server that, and is Cunningham's best. Give him a long weekend, a raise, an extra annual leave day and a promotion - I honestly would've given this place 4 stars if it weren't for how awesome this dude was. But there ye go! I'm only four months new in town, so I can say with confidence I'll be returning. Thanks again Calvin for your warm professionalism and being an absolute gentleman. I WILL BE BACK!

Had dinner there yesterday with my colleague, food was 10/10, recommend local IPA was 10/10, and service was 15/10. Tom is such a welcoming and nice gentleman

Absolutely fantastic food and service. Food is thai/Thai inspired. 10/10 could not fault at all. Service was top notch. Bar staff great craic and up for the chats. A spot that must be checked out if you're in Kikdare.

Chose this gem 💎 based on the reviews and so glad we did. By the time I posted, I’ve tried 4 different seafood chowders throughout the republic. Cunningham’s is top shelf. Fresh prawns and fresh fish chunks in a broth that is not gummy but perfectly creamy and not overly salted. The pan fried sea bass was perfectly tender with crispy skin precisely the way it’s intended. And the massaman (curry) had great depth of flavour with perfect spice level. Generous portions all around. The only disappointment is we couldn’t try more on the menu. What a great find on our tour of the Emerald Isle 🇮🇪
