Loved this place ,we were staying overnight and went in for dinner. The place was full but a lovely lady welcomed us ,told us when she believed a table would be available and we waited with a drink. We got a table a little earlier than we thought and the food and service was amazing

Lovely little pub with very friendly staff. Food was superb too, but it does get busy so booking a table would be recommended as they had to turn away so many visitors

Hungry Knight

20/11/2025: I dream of this fish and chips. It’s incredible. The fish is cooked to perfection. John is an absolute gentle man and makes everyone feel so welcome. I’ve never seen a chipper with a wood burning stove inside! Absolutely incredible. Fish and chips by a fire was never as good as it is the Hungry Knight. Counting down the days until I’m back there again.
08/10/2025: Super friendly service & was great value. We shared a garlic cheesy chips as a snack before dinner and they were delicious! Somebody couldn't even wait for me to take the picture!
