Griffin's Bar in Clifden

Great spot for a pint to watch a rugby match. Highly recommended.

We popped in here on a damp evening in Clifden for a couple of pints before going on for dinner elsewhere. We sat in the front bar beside a lovely, open fire. A very interesting bar with plenty of signs and other paraphernalia to look at, including many assorted police badges. There were just four other customers in the bar during the hour we were there, all of whom joined in conversation. The owner popped in at one stage to say hello!

Grand spot. Sports on tv. Oddly only take cash!!

Great place! The food was wonderful and the owner was super friendly. Probably one of our best lunch stops.

Great music the night we were there. We will be back.

I love open crab sandwich, and here in Griffin's you get a very tasty and good one. Friendly welcome and nice staff. The Guinness is good. Will be back.

Griffins bar!!! God music all the time ! Even open sessions once in a while! Yes I can see people rating this place down. Well I am just speaking for myself. I have been there so many times thru the years and never been disappointed.. Owner once told me that he makes contributions( gives away money) to his community,to support kids so they can do sports and not start a career on the streets! So just remember...having a pint here and you are helping someone. I think that is fair enough! And also remember that they have had a hard time with lockdown. Its amazing to see so many local pubs, shops still hanging in there. And it was not long ago since people started coming back for real( 2023) And I hope people can enjoy their stays in sweet little Clifden! And there are several pubs to check out,If one does not suit you. Try to come at the Clifden Arts Festival in september, It is really worth it!!

Stopped in for a quick bite and a pint and came back for some music later in the evening. Great place for drinks and a vibe. Staff is friendly, food was delicious both times. We'll definitely be back during our stay in Clifden. Not to be missed if you're in town!
