Hungry Knight in Sneem

I dream of this fish and chips. It’s incredible. The fish is cooked to perfection. John is an absolute gentle man and makes everyone feel so welcome. I’ve never seen a chipper with a wood burning stove inside! Absolutely incredible. Fish and chips by a fire was never as good as it is the Hungry Knight. Counting down the days until I’m back there again.

Super friendly service & was great value. We shared a garlic cheesy chips as a snack before dinner and they were delicious! Somebody couldn't even wait for me to take the picture!

Went here for dinner tonight. My wife and I got a pizza and fish and chips, I know quite the combo! We enjoyed the food, the gentleman working was kind and courteous and the seating area was very well done inside. The fish was done very well, not oily or greasy, the batter wasn’t thick and too much, and the “chips” were done well also. Would recommend for a quick bite that required no fancy clothes, planning, or reservations.

Great, exactly what we were looking for, simple, clean, efficient, fresh.

I hate poor reviews but sadly I was disappointed. Fish was in breadcrumbs and not as fresh tasting as it could be. Maybe as it was smaller bits with skin. Inexcusable though was the chips that were so dry even salt and vinegar could not save. Tomato ketchup did not help either 😒 This place should not be allowed to present as a fish and chip shop. It's a shame 😪

Great fish in bread crumbs instead of batter, a real welcome change. The chips were golden and crisp. Boxed up with salt and vinegar sachets and tartar sauce. All cooked fresh. Spotlessly clean. Lovely lady, very welcoming, let us stand inside and wait with our labrador out of the rain; many places won't let you in Ireland. Plenty to eat and highly recommend
