Best seafood in town. Loved the service and vibe. Worth a stop if you want seafood. My husband loved the fish and chips. I enjoyed the seafood chowder, mussels and the warm tarragon buttered oysters.

The best fish and chips I’ve ever had. The fish I ordered was haddock. The atmosphere was lively and friendly. If you’re ever in Killarney, dine here. You’ll be glad you did.

Oh my goodness, what a delight! Hands down one of the best meals, if not the very best, I had in all of Ireland (herb encrusted hake). Amazing! Everyone was so kind (and handsome!) and engaging. Fabulous atmosphere! A true treat. BRAVO! Absolutely recommended for culinary excellence. No question. The only reason I can’t give a full 5 Stars is that I felt rushed. I appreciate good service, but two sips into my wine, my meal was served all the while being asked if I wanted more bread in between sips. Perhaps it was because I was a solo diner or perhaps it was because the next wave of reservations was coming in at 9pm. And, perhaps it’s just just me, but when I chose fine dining (and my meal was over the top fine!), I don’t want to feel rushed.

Reputation speaks for itself. Huge portions of the freshest fish and seafood. Halibut special was delicious. Very busy but service top notch. Would return and recommend.

24/01/2025: We had the privilege of staying at Murphys and fell in love not only with the charming town, the hotel, the bar, but especially the people! Everyone who works here are fun and kind! Mary and Mark especially made the extra effort to make our stay an amazing time. Despite the live music on weekends, our room was quiet and very large! The room was also extremely clean with a comfy bed and the hotel itself is a perfect location for walking around Killarney. It’s also only a short walk to Killarney house and an easy leisurely walk to the beautiful Killarney National Park. Lastly, the fish and chips and apple pie were delicious, must order with a side of Guinness of course. Great breakfast as well! Thank you Murphys! We can’t wait to be back. Your kindness and authenticity was a breath of fresh air! Love to you all - Sydney and Deven Benson

04/01/2025: 5.50e again for Guinness with a barman with attitude. Pay before you get your pint. I don't think so. I made him wait. Poor taste not chilled Guinness. Avoid.
