Lir Cafe in Killarney

Stopped by for a couple of Americanos to go. The staff indicated that Killarney stopped using disposable cups and that you had to rent a cup for 2 euros each. You can turn in the cup and get your euros back which I did. I was fine with the cup but my wife didn't necessarily care for it.

Great cappuccino with 3 different plant-based milk options (to pay extra). The scones are excellent! If they considered no single-use plastics for butter and jam everything would be perfect!

I’m an early riser and many of the coffee shops in Ireland open later. This one opened promptly at 7 am and made a beautiful cappuccino! Friendly staff. Ordered another to go and was informed that in Killarney they don’t use paper cups. They have the “2GoCup Deposit and Return scheme.” They give you a pretty nice reusable takeaway cup. You pay €2 and can bring it back and get your €2 back. You can also take it to the other participating businesses and turn it in for your money back. Interesting.

We stayed in Killarney for a week and visited many cafes. We thought Lir Cafe was the best. Great food and coffee, lovely welcoming and efficient staff ... and great to sit out the front and watch the world go by.

Best coffee in all of Killarney. Alan Oliver super GAA fan, is the best owner in town. Must visit! Great outdoor seating!

While traveling in Ireland, I don’t always take it for granted that I’ll find a good coffee, but here at Lir Café we had an excellent espresso and cappuccino, accompanied by delicious pastries. The atmosphere wasn’t crowded, and we were able to enjoy a peaceful breakfast. The staff was welcoming, efficient, kind, and witty.

Great lattes; knowledgeable, friendly staff, and incredibly prompt service! The cafe was conveniently located through the back entrance to Towers Hotel. This team clearly knows and loves coffee. Excited to go back.

Thanks for the amazing Breakfast...Lir and team ! We got exactly what we need ! They open early. We went around 8 and got ourselves Croissants with Nutella butter and Raspberry Jam and nice cheese toastie!

The staff are so friendly and kind, I had hot chocolate and cheese sandwich , pastries they were absolutely delicious 🤤 the ambience is good 😊
