Man Friday in Kinsale

Really good food, great service and a warm friendly atmosphere with a mix of tourists and locals. Came here on a recommendation and was not disappointed. The 3 course early bird deal was exceptionally good value for money.

Our driver recommended this place. Wow! All the tables have a spectacular view of the bay. The food and service were amazing. We had the hake & the lamb. My husband said it was the best lamb he has ever experienced. Glad we made a reservation and ate here!

Fantastic food, atmosphere, and the service is excellent. Decor and location is outstanding - highly recommended, especially for a special occasion. So lucky to live in Kinsale with all the fantastic restaurants here :-)

The best restaurant in the area! Food was amazing and the staff were all so friendly.

My partner and myself had the pleasure of dining here last Sunday. It was absolutely amazing. Everything was perfect. The rump of lamp was like cutting into a fillet steak. Perfection.🥰

Our hotel did not recommend getting a reservation. And we went and there were not many people there at the time that we arrived, but the staff again seemed frustrated that we did not have a reservation. The portions on most meals were very nice. I had a steak that was magnificent. Some people got the shrimp and were disappointed.

Had a fantastic meal here on Friday 28th February. Booked at short notice. Called the restaurant to book and the lady on the phone was very helpful and accommodating. We booked this restaurant based on the excellent Google reviews so the expectations were very high and even then it exceeded our highest expectations. From the moment we arrived we were made feel incredibly welcome. Even though it was a very busy Friday night and the restaurant was full the restaurant staff were very helpful and professional. The food, service, atmosphere, ambiance, everything was fantastic in every sense. This is a very beautiful restaurant and by far the nicest meal we had in our time in Kinsale. Thank you.

A lovely evening in Man Friday.Fantastic selection for everybody on the menu.Lovely atmosphere and most enjoyable. Parking was a little difficult we had a walk but that was OK, it wasn't raining .

We had an early booking at 5pm as we have two young children in the party, we arrived and were seated, then we waited quite a while for the menus or drinks to be offered, there were no other ppl in the restaurant at this time, so we felt a bit neglected! Anyway, things improved after we asked for drinks, the set menu is excellent and good value as portions are good, the lamb on the separate menu was exceptional, delicious and cooked well, all the desserts were fantastic especially the meringue, kids menu standard fayre but arrived quickly which is important when you have a 6 and 3 year old. We had beers and Prosecco which wasn’t great as it wasn’t fizzy enough, probably due to the screw top!? Never had it like that before. Service was friendly and the food arrived in good time after the slow start, a beautiful setting and we would come back. A good choice for a date night too as the ambiance was lovely
