Merry Monk in Ballina

The Merry Monk serves excellent pub food at reasonable prices. We frequented on a couple of occasions during our stay in the area. I can recommend the carvery

Stopped off here in our motorhome as they allow campers & motorhomes to overnight in the car park if you eat in. Food was very good, excellent quality, fresh & very tasty with friendly staff. Can highly recommend.

Food was good service was good but the place could do with a bit of TLC and a deep clean

Great welcome, accommodation, food and atmosphere. The rooms were spacious well appointed and modern. We met the owner who oversaw our stay, a true gentleman. Breakfast was served promptly and was delicious and vast in quantity and quality Parking is ample with cctv 24/7 not that it’s needed as it’s a safe area, but peace of mind nonetheless.

What a place , food , accommodation ,staff everything was excellent from start to finish.

The Merry Monk has a large parking area, and inside, there are lots of tables it gets very busy around lunchtime and for Sunday carvery. The food quality is good. the portion size could be bigger .

We celebrated my husband's 70th birthday with family here in January 2025. We had a wonderful evening from beginning to end. The food was outstanding and all the guests remarked on how good it was. The staff were so friendly , efficient and accommodating, and our every need was catered for. They looked after the decorations which were fab and made for a great atmosphere. Thank you to all the Staff and in particular Gillian who organised all for us.

Have eaten there twice in last months the seafood pasta is the best I have tasted! My husband had the beef .it was lovely and tender and great portions with fresh vegetables. Great friendly service and good value for money
