Murphy Brownes in Killarney

Stopped by this pub for an Irish coffee and a quick bite, and I wasn’t disappointed. I tried their toastie with four kinds of cheese and onion jam—such a delicious twist of flavors. The Irish coffee was spot on too. A perfect combo for a cozy break.

This is one of the best lamb shanks I have ever had, we had it last year and had to come back this year. And they did not disappoint at all. The staff was great and the atmosphere was just the right place to take that someone special.

We stopped in to Murphy Browns for a light bite before going to Pub. The Seafood Chowder was the best we’ve had in Ireland and it’s one of our favs. Highly recommend.

Our first meal in Ireland and everything about it was perfect! Casual atmosphere and our waiter Jim was terrific and even gave us recommendations for local music venues in the area. From the French Merlot to the goat cheese tartlet to the lamb shank and roasted duck all delicious! A must if you are in Killarney!

Friday night in August, no booking for 4 person group, happy to wzit for 30mins. Fab menu, wonderful meals. Hubby said staek was ghe best he had had in ages!! Son had lamb shank, DIVINE Burger was delish. And to follow thd Eton mess was heavenly. 👊

Best restaurant in Killarney? We thought so. Great service in a beautiful space, wonderful food, plenty of vegetarian options. We especially enjoyed dessert. All their meat is from a local butcher and the steaks were excellent. Highly recommend Murphy Browns. Make a reservation in advance!

My friend ate the best steak of his life! Hard to believe it was from the neighboring farm, it was like heaven.😄

Visiting Killarney, Ireland, I wanted to try the local lamb shank and found it on the menu at Murphy Brownes. My wife was unsure of what she wanted and changed her order after her original choice was already sent to the kitchen. The owner was extremely gracious and kind-hearted in allowing her to change her order. The food arrived quickly and was excellent. I recommend the lamb shank! My wife had the ribeye with garlic butter and was quite pleased. This is a great place with great and caring people! The gentleman in the picture is Murphy, the owner who took great care of us.
