Had a late lunch here almost 2 weeks ago. Hake, Chips, Mushy peas, tea, bread & butter . Now this is just my opinion and I may have made the wrong choice. The fish gave me the impression that it may have been frozen as it was very wet and was a bit shy in size. The batter was just that batter. Disappointed in the chips. Why are you using a rectangular chip cutting die? It is just wrong as all it does is allow faster cooking but once served they quickly go cold and hard, not nice. The rest was adequate.
This wasn't a cheap meal and all in came to €28. With hindsight I should have complained there and then but my time was limited. Hoping this was just a bad one of day for the restaurant.

We turned up without a booking and luckily got a table.
I had squid for starter, fantastic.
My main meal was mussels, huge portion with chips and sourdough bread. Again, great.
We we're stuff so can't remember if we had dessert.
Had fantastic coffee to finish.
I would recommend booking as they get very busy.

Don't let the queue put you off. It's worth the wait for a table. The food is super delicious. We've been there three times and it's been excellent every time.

We had a nice seafood dinner. The crab claws and the mussels were very good. The seabass with risotto was good, but not great. Nice service. The wine list falls short. On the negative side, tables are too close and the place gets terribly noisy, impairing the conversation at your own table.

I had Quinlan's Seafood Bar bookmarked because I wanted to try some seafood while in Ireland, and it was near our hotel. It's hard to go out to dinner when you've been out exploring all day, and have a jetlagged 8 month-old. So we decided to order for take-out. We had:
-Homemade Seafood Chowder (chunks of fresh & smoked fish, prawns and mussels with diced vegetables in a seafood cream sauce and served with brown bread) - too salty, but the brown bread really helped
-Traditional Beer Battered Fish and Chips (with real potato chips served with a lemon wedge & tartar sauce, homemade mushy peas & curry sauce) - this wasn't bad but I wouldn't recommend it for takeout
-Pan-fried Filet of Seabass (pan fried fillets of sea bass with shrimp and mussels' risotto, white wine, marinated tomatoes & pea shoots) - the seabass was good, but the risotto was very salty
Overall, it seems like the seafood is pretty fresh but they are heavy-handed on the salt here. I think a dine-in experience would have been much better - just be sure to tell them to go light on the salt.

We went by chance. We were looking for a place near our accommodation and saw that this place had some great options.
We were honestly surprised by the waiters, who were very attentive, super fast, and very friendly.
We let them advise us on ordering the soup, and it was a real find; it was delicious.
We also ordered the typical fish and chips, but it was very good, along with the batter and the sauces that accompanied it.
We also ordered beer and soft drinks. What surprised us most was the price; it came to less than €20 per person, and we couldn't eat any more because we were so full.
We really liked it; it was definitely a good choice.

We made a reservation today and the waiter was able to move us into a cozy little booth by the front window. I ordered the seafood chowder as an appetizer and the grilled sea bass with seafood risotto at the same time. I was nervous about them coming out at the same time but they didn’t. About 10 minutes after I finished my appetizer the main course came out. Both were really hot and tasted amazing. Service was great and the food was also VERY good. Whoever made that seafood chowder isn’t paid enough money! Thanks again!
