12/09/2026: We had a lovely evening at the Crow's Nest but sadly it was their penultimate evening being open, as the Beefeater chain is closing down, 😟 so some menu items weren't available. A few of the staff have already found alternative employment, one quite close to us at the Woolpack in Stoke Mandeville, whilst others are awaiting redundancy, if no-one buys the restaurant as a going concern. The staff were very friendly and accommodating and we wish them all well for the future. ❤️

11/09/2026: I had to deduct a star for no steak sauce but as it was the last night so completely understandable. Staff redeemed this star so.if I could have given service 6 stars I would by making my favourite pudding crumble with Custard which was not on the menu but òne of many reasons I loved the Crows Nest. As you can imagine the atmosphere although a little sombre and teary was still very pleasant but not the same as normal but with good reason. The close baffles me as if was always busy.I have eaten at many places but often hard to love. I never had this problem at the Crows Nest.
