Went for brunch. The staff were friendly, the place is beautiful and the food was lovely (we ordered eggs benedict and eggs royale). A nice detail is that you can get free parking for an hour at the Aldi parking!

We ordered two different dishes that included poached eggs, but all four eggs came completely cooked (hard yolk), which was not what we expected from the dish. Something simple, but it was totally disappointing.

We came here for brunch and the food was delicious. I just found it a bit strange that there wasnt any place to hang my jacket as it was soaking wet from the rain and I had to put it on the back of my chair, which also wasnt very comfy. Having just one shared bathroom downstairs also isnt ideal.

Food was lovely. I had the eggs Benedict. Service was excellent. Staff is lovely in there. Upstairs atmosphere not great but it might just have been the time of day.

We attended to Bookshelf last night for our staff Christmas party and I could not compliment it enough! From my initial enquiry to paying the bill last night Paul and his team were brilliant, they were extremely accommodating, efficient and the food was sensational. It’s great to see the food scene in Cork thriving and the bookshelf have always been brilliant at what they do and last night was no different. This venue was perfect for a private hire for and definitely a hidden gem.

I can only speak about the coffee as I didn't get food, but the coffee was incredible, not sure what beans they use for the Americano's but absolutely delicious.

28/02/2026: Nice hotel great staff but rooms need a serious uplift , old carpets old tvs leaking taps old shower heads , central heating .... could have had itnon longer , room was cold initially had to wear hoodie for half night, room.was very cold in the mornings hut for a short stay i didnt want to complain . Breakfast was nice all you needed in one place , be early forbthe freshest hot breakfast we arrived late and everything was over cooked had hard , again staff were fab in Breakfast hall full of chat and the cork accent singing miles ..... would I stay again ..... yes Cab to city ...12 to 14 euro Supermac's 800 m away Garage with nibbles 800 m away
24/02/2026: We held our Mothers final send off at Silver Springs. Everything was perfect, even when we had the traditional sing song at the end of the day when other people were eating in the restaurant was not a problem. The food was first class and we had table service for the drinks which was lovely. Thanks to all the staff who were really kind and nothing was a problem.

22/02/2026: Very disappointed overall.Took my son for a special occasion.Very loud on arrival from people at bar counter asked to move but staff member said the group were leaving ( which they did ) .We ordered 2 starters both small ,tasty enough. .However it was the 2 main courses that were so disappointing I ordered the hake ,brocolini and mash and my son ordered the featherblade of beef ,both portions were small ,the broccoli was 2 pieces of tenderstem.My sons beef was small he was starving after it. .With one non alcoholic wine meal came to 92 euro ..I dont mind paying for something if Its filling and good value but we both left hungry .My son went home for a bowl of cereal.Overall very disappointing experience.Wish I had seen previous persons review ( Sarah ) bfore I booked.We had similar experiences.
15/02/2026: Overall a very mid experience for a fine dining restaurant, when paying such high price for the food you'd expect just a bit more than one mushroom and one broccoli, the chips were not even crispy and more soggy unfortunately, seasoned well beef however too much blood on the beef, , plating was just so basic, the vibe was an interesting experience just way too dark
