The Bookshelf Coffee House in Cork

Went to The Bookshelf in the Elysian on Christmas Eve. Hadnt been in a while unfortunately but my it didn’t disappoint. Beautiful breakfast, coffee and the staff are excellent. There’s plenty staff on so you aren’t wanting for anything. Portion sizes are big and the food is quality. Highly recommend for brunch in Cork City. Thanks guys

La comida era increíble y el servicio era bueno. Diciendo que mi amiga llamaba a nuestro camarero y él no escuchó así que ella golpeó ligeramente su hombro. Él respondió muy agresivamente diciendo que estaba "ofendido por ser tocado" y que estaba "ocupado y llamaría a nuestra mesa cuando estuviera listo". Luego, cuando pedí una copa, anunció en voz alta "OTRA mimosa" en tono de corte. El mismo camarero tenía una bandeja de bebidas calientes flotando sobre un bebé recién nacido en su buggy en la mesa de al lado... haciendo que la madre pusiera la capucha una vez que se fue. Huelga decir que recibió alguna propina.

I cannot recommend this place enough! We randomly came across it for breakfast on a very rainy day. Luckily we were able to get a table without a reservation! Even though the place was very busy the staff was warm, welcoming and attentive. The mushroom toastie was absolutely and my partner had the french toast. Absolutely amazing! It was such a nice experience we came back the next day for breakfast. The only point of critique is the portions were so big we did not have room for dessert. The prices were fair as well. When I return I will definitely be returning! I cannot stress enough how amazing the staff was. Thank you for a lovely breakfast and atmosphere!

The barista in this cafe makes really beautiful and nice coffee. If you want to have a good coffee in Cork City, I recommend this place. The atmosphere is also very good

Stopped at Bookshelf Cafe for breakfast and had a great experience. We ordered two scones, a hot chocolate, and tea—all delicious. Service was impressively fast. The tea came with a pot and cup, and the scones were served with butter and jam, which added to the flavor. The atmosphere was wonderful. For 3 scones, 1 hot chocolate, and 1 tea, I paid €17.30, which felt fair for the quality. The place is across to City Hall Q-Park if you need a parking space.

Disfrutamos cada poco del tazón de falafel y la hamburguesa de pollo coreana, me perdí hacer clic en una foto de la comida, me encantó la presentación también! Y debo admitir que el café que tomamos fue el mejor que tuvimos aquí en Cork! Perfectamente mezclado! ¡Mi hija tomó una tostada francesa que felizmente engulló! El personal era atento y amable, sin duda volver a tomar café aquí de nuevo!

We had a very tasty meal and a great time in The Bookshelf At The Elysian.

Breakfast at The Bookshelf was a fantastic experience! Barbara provided excellent service and gave great recommendations, making us feel well taken care of. The poached eggs and bacon were cooked to perfection, and the cappuccino was skillfully made and delicious. a wonderful start to the day—highly recommend!
