Absolutely excellent hotel experience. A ton on nice touches during our stay. Highly reccomend it for a cork visit. Train to town is so handy being just 2 short stops.

For our first road trip as a family of three, we spent a long weekend at Fota Resort—and it was a truly memorable experience. From the moment we drove through the main gate, we were greeted with a beautiful view of the grounds leading up to the hotel entrance. The setting instantly set the tone for a relaxing getaway. The staff at Fota were fantastic. It’s often the simplest gestures that leave a lasting impression—whether it was a warm greeting at reception, friendly interactions in the hallway, or engaging conversations at the restaurant. Every staff member we encountered was respectful, attentive, and welcoming. We stayed in a deluxe suite, which was modern, clean, and very comfortable. A bottle of red wine awaited us in the room—a lovely touch. Fota also made a thoughtful gesture by placing a teddy bear in the baby cot, which was such a sweet surprise and deeply appreciated. The room featured a tablet that made it easy to book pool slots, order room service, or make dinner reservations at the hotel restaurant. Each evening, we received a turndown service, and our room was restocked with bottled water, chocolates, and snacks—another small but appreciated detail. Dining at the hotel was a pleasure. Breakfast offered a mix of à la carte hot dishes and a buffet of muffins, cereals, juices, and more. We also dined at the restaurant for dinner, which did not disappoint. We ordered the steak and the fish and chips—the fish was fresh with a light, crispy batter, and the steak was cooked to perfection with exceptional flavor. Overall, we had a wonderful time at Fota Resort and will certainly be returning. It’s a fantastic choice for families looking for comfort, quality, and thoughtful hospitality.

Great property for lovely getaway.

Me and the family stayed at the hotel resort for a couple of days and I must say it's a wonderful hotel with many lovely staff, treating my wife to a spa which she loved to go back again. Food and service is excellent with breakfast lunch and dinner top quality and immaculate service. Getting to the hotel was easy to locate through Google maps. There's also a gym and swimming pool inside the hotel with a nice atmosphere. Very indeed family friendly with the help of all the staff. And just want to say a big thank you too all the staff working in the fota resort hotel and we would like the come again next time. Highly recommend for anyone who wants to visit this beautiful island 🏝️ 😊

We really enjoyed our stay here. We visited for 3 nights and the beds were comfy, there was a fridge in the room and the bathroom was very spacious. The grounds are lovely and we went to the fairy trail and played in the playground with our little girl. It was easy to get Bottled water to make bottles which made life easier. Breakfast in the mornings was absolutely class We loved it! The breakfast staff were top class! The rooms were cleaned daily and staff very friendly. We went to the swimming pool at the spa which was quite cold for a baby (26 degrees) and there weren't many facilities for baby changing. I asked the staff could my husband take my daughter and they said that only facilities were in the women's (this was a mistake on their part as there are facilities in the men's too) The only thing i didn't enjoy was our restaurant experience in Amber. I would have expected better service from a restaurant within a 5* hotel.
