The food was delicious! We arrived with no reservation at around 8pm, and they were able to seat us within ten minutes. Had a lovely drink at the bar while waiting. The service is outstanding, everyone was so friendly and helpful. Thank you for a lovely dinner.

The establishment has a nice, clean atmosphere, and the bar/restaurant setup is quite inviting. The staff members were friendly and attentive throughout our visit, which we really appreciated.
However, we did find the portion sizes of the food a bit disappointing given the price. We ordered starters, mains, and desserts, but our main dishes, which were fillet steaks, were served with only a small amount of mashed potatoes, two uncooked cherry tomatoes, a small circle of rocket, and some crispy onion sprinkled on top. For around €40 per plate, we expected a more satisfying portion.
Additionally, we noticed that if we wanted vegetables, those were offered at an extra cost. In total, our bill came to €150, and we felt that the overall experience didn't quite match the price point. It would be wonderful if the menu could be adjusted to provide more value for the cost.

Our first night in Killarney, we stumbled upon this place as it was the only place that served food after 10pm.
We were pleasantly surprised at how good the lamb shank was.
During our stay in Killarney, we tried several places but hands down Porterhouse has THE BEST lamb shank!
15/10 recommend!!!

Sensational experience.
Recommended by a local, this place showed us the finest Irish cooking we had tried so far. We took coliflour as starter, which was stunningly nice. Then, I had a Traditional Lamb Stew that fulfilled me with bliss and my friend took Fish and chips (which was good but personally think that this dish is not something to ask for in a good restaurant) together with a house salad side.
The price was high for us (around 95€ for two people), but the dinner was absolutely worth, inasmuch as we had barely eaten something apart from sandwiches beforehand. Approximate prices were:
—Killarney lager pint (8'50€)
—Coliflour (around 12€)
—Lamb stew (around 25€)
—Fish and chips (around 22€)
—Side salad (around 6€)
The service was flawless, and in the end we were extremely delighted to enjoy so much our first quality dinner in Ireland.

The restaurant is well-maintained, with tables that ensure privacy for customers. The staff is super friendly and helpful, and the traditional food is truly excellent.

Food was underwhelming given the reviews. It took quite a while for the food to come out.
The burger was on the dry side but the meat itself was flavorful. However it felt like it had been sitting out for a while and warm at best. The bun was quite dry. Chips will solid.
The salmon was also dry and not very flavorful. The butter sauce was quite good but there was so little of it.
Gin and tonic was not great.
Overall the meal was fine but expensive and slow given what it was. I wouldn’t go again.
