The Spaniard in Kinsale

07/10/2025: I recently took my Wife to Jim Edwards for lunch on 20th September 2025. From start to finish the experience was fantastic and the quality of both food and service was simply superb. We were staying locally and our hostess informed me that this establishment has been in business for a considerable period, that it is Jim's son who is now in charge and that this pub/restaurant has been operating at a very high level as long as she could remember. Very grateful for a lovely experience and incredible food. Looking forward to visiting again.

21/09/2025: Despite the bustling atmosphere and a staff that was clearly run off their feet, Jim Edwards in Kinsale still managed to deliver a decent experience. The place was packed, a testament to its popularity, which explains why the service felt a bit strained. However, the team did their best to keep up. The food was solid—nothing overly fancy, just good, hearty fare, and the pints were well-poured. It's clear why this spot is so popular; it has a lively buzz that's hard to miss. While not a quiet, leisurely meal, it’s a perfectly good option for a decent bite and a quality pint in the heart of Kinsale.
