The Spitjack, menu in Cork

First time there. Food georgous and staff fabulous.

Intimate space with lots of natural light and the lovely sounds of an open kitchen and pass with coffee bar and espresso machine whiring and moving about. The food is fresh and we'll thought out. The flavors and textures are clearly forward-thinking without being pretentious or "trying too hard." We had the Huevos Rancheros, Berry French Toast, Bacon French Toast, and the Smokey Royale. All were delicious. The smoked salmon with its delicious oils, paired nicely with the slightly acid avocado base on the toast and the lemon in the hollandaise. The Rancheros had a wonderful "western" flavor with very tender, not fatty, pork. The French Toast was pefect. Light and crisp with bright flavors.

Like the taste in the restaurant. very good and good atmosphere.

Food was on point and very healthy portion sizes too, shame I didn't get to try a dessert as the line up is spectacular. In this instance, however, the service really let it down. There was a private event upstairs which may have impacted this but that is no excuse. Had to show ourselves to our table and we were not even offered a drinks menu. Every time service was needed it was lacking and when you did ask it somehow became lost in a more of other customers. Asked for the bill twice and still took 15 minutes to get this. I will give benefit of the doubt as surely the service can't be that bad each time ?

Very friendly staff. Nice cocktail. The food had a pretty presentation and was very good.

Great service and atmosphere, we had brunch and it was busy. I had veggie bap and it was good, portion was decent, just like what I expected. I also ordered lavender latte and turned out it wouldn't be my cup of tea. Must say it is one-of-a-kind hot beverage menu as I've never seen lavender latte before but unfortunately something I wouldn't enjoy and order again. It taste like herbal medicine but it was aromatic.

Great service and really tasty food. I had a burger and my companion had mushroom risotto- both were very feeling and perfectly cooked. There's also some local beers in bottles that are worth a try.

Real quality ingredients with great menu options. Friendly laid back service and a nice welcoming atmosphere. Only reason not to make it a 5* is because pricing seemed odd between the two dishes we ordered. Full Irish breakfast included coffee and toast for €15, great value for the quality. Veggie Bap was also €15 but the tea ordered was charged at an extra €5.

Locale caldo e accogliente, arredato con stile. Menù molto valido, molto gustosi sia gli antipasti che i piatti principali. Sicuramente da provare se si capita da queste parti.
