Real quality ingredients with great menu options. Friendly laid back service and a nice welcoming atmosphere. Only reason not to make it a 5* is because pricing seemed odd between the two dishes we ordered. Full Irish breakfast included coffee and toast for €15, great value for the quality. Veggie Bap was also €15 but the tea ordered was charged at an extra €5.

Really popular spot on the weekends so recommend booking. Was impressed to see a vegan menu but when I asked for the vegan option that comes with chips or soup, the soup and chips both weren’t vegan so ended up with a massive plate of salad. Really tasty what we did have and servers were all friendly and kind despite how busy it was

For our last lunch in Cork, Ireland, we thought it fitting to enjoy a Sunday roast. The Spit Jack is located right in the bustling heart of Cork.
We made a same-day reservation without any trouble, thanks to the restaurant’s spacious two-story dining facility. We were seated on the second floor. For the Sunday roast, diners can choose either a two- or three-course fixed-price meal. My partner and I decided to share both appetizers and main courses.
For appetizers, we shared vegetable soup with bread and crispy fried calamari. For our main course, we chose the roast platter: two slices of beef, pork belly, and rotisserie chicken, served with mashed potatoes, bread, and carrots.
It was a hearty meal—the roasts were delicious and generously portioned for two people. The Spit Jack provided the perfect setting for a lovely farewell lunch before we returned to London.

Dined here last Saturday. Food was really nice; portions were large and I would go again. What I’ve docked a star for might seem harsh but I could it really frustrating.
The day before we got an email and rather than ‘looking forward to hosting you’ it was very much like this…. ‘Reminder that your booking is for 18:45, you must return the table by 20:20. If you don’t show up we will charge your card €45 per person’.
There was no niceties in the email and it came across as hostile. Particularly when we were booked in for early bird set menu at €38pp and they threaten to take €45pp.
Also service was faster than McDonalds. Just feels like they want you out asap.
As I type in thinking 4 stars is too much!!
Email rewording would go a huge way to making the experience better.

Fancy and luxurious restaurant atmosphere. There is an upper floor as well as the first floor, so the hall is very large. New York style salmon bagel was delicious!

I recently dined at SpitJack, and I have to say, the food is absolutely amazing! Every dish is crafted with care, and the quality of the ingredients really shines through – the taste and flavor are outstanding. I tried the Smoked Royal, and it was truly a standout experience.
The ambiance and service were just as exceptional, making the whole brunch even more enjoyable. If you’re looking for a place that combines incredible food with a warm atmosphere, SpitJack is the spot. I wholeheartedly recommend it – you won’t be disappointed!

So happy to have discovered this little gem in Cork City.
The best poach eggs to be had.
The best dirty chai & the prettiest at that.
The staff though are the best draw for me.

Myself an d my wife ate in SpitJack Saturday night. 5pm sitting, great service and excellent food for the two course option. The decor is really nice and when a lot of places are. closing it was great to see full tables. The menu was varied and we had an excellent meal. We will be back!

Locale caldo e accogliente, arredato con stile. Menù molto valido, molto gustosi sia gli antipasti che i piatti principali. Sicuramente da provare se si capita da queste parti.
