The Spitjack, menu in Cork

Haven’t been to The Spitjack in a while and it was a joy to return. A party of 5 friends went for Sunday lunch and we all really enjoyed our meal. The staff were very nice and friendly. I won’t be leaving it too long to return next time.

Quality food and nice atmosphere

Delicious brunch! We had an issue with one of our meals, but the waitress and the manager dealt with it very professionally. I could highly recommend the brunch/breakfast menu – so much to choose from!

One of the best places I've eaten in cork, which is saying something! The pork belly has limited stock and sells out quickly for good reason. Excellent crackling and meat was delicious. The steak while expensive was perhaps the best I've had in years. A sampling of chicken and ribs showed the flavor and care carried over to them as well. Desert was disappointing but only when compared to the quality of each part of a very excellent dinner

Great restaurant in Cork, delicious food and the service from Chiqui, Monica and Isabela, charming and super attentive, we liked it so much that we came back twice more during our stay in the city.

We went here twice during our visit to Cork. The food is excellent, the staff are great, definitely would recommend going. Between us we tried the burger, duck, ribs and chicken all very well cooked and presented. We didn't try the desserts because we were full but they looked delicious

This place feels like one of those restaurants that has made a decision to get to the top spot on Tripadvisor by playing to the tourist (read American) crowd and there is absolutely nothing wrong with that. It just feels a bit off. And while the customer service is superb, the food is pretty average, simple fare done well (aside from a rocket leaf salad obsession) but nothing to write home about in all honesty, so 4 out of 5 felt a fair compromise between service and the food.

Real quality ingredients with great menu options. Friendly laid back service and a nice welcoming atmosphere. Only reason not to make it a 5* is because pricing seemed odd between the two dishes we ordered. Full Irish breakfast included coffee and toast for €15, great value for the quality. Veggie Bap was also €15 but the tea ordered was charged at an extra €5.
