This has to be one of the finest restaurants in Cork. We loved it. Our waitress was great, the ambience is nice, and the food was terrific!

Unbelievable food and detailing in presentation was fantastic. We went for breakfast and it was next level. Staff were under alot of pressure but still managed to get our food to us and check in with no issues and a very short wait time. I had Eggs benedict (salmon and guacamole), I also had the chocolate pancakes and my other half had the French toast, it was all perfect. Highly recommend. Price was very reasonable too. Worth visiting Cork again for that place alone.

Lovely relaxed atmosphere even with the staff being under pressure with how busy it was. Got our food out in great time. I went for breakfast here and all I can say is I'm a very jealous Dub of you Cork people for having a spot like this here in your city. The breakfast was the nicest I've had out in any restaurant/cafe. The food was such a high standard. I've being disappointed alot lately in breakfast places in Dublin. I wasn't here, everything was perfect. If I'm ever back in Cork, I'll definitely be back.

The atmosphere of spitjack is always vibrant and modern.
The service was good.
The food quantity even is too much,
the food quality is not excellent, not low, I would say OK.
The plates preparation, as display, something to improve.
Within that price range, I will be back but not as a preferred choice.

Nice breakfast spot in Cork. I had the halloumi and eggs, which I’d highly recommend, it tasted amazing and I loved all the flavours together. Honestly, one of my favourite breakfasts I’ve had in a while! My mum went for the Truly Irish, which was slightly more disappointing as the potato hash didn’t have much flavour, and it was the base of the dish, though the rest was nice. We arrived around 10am on a Saturday and got a seat easily, but by the time we were leaving it was really busy. There’s plenty of seating both upstairs and downstairs

This place feels like one of those restaurants that has made a decision to get to the top spot on Tripadvisor by playing to the tourist (read American) crowd and there is absolutely nothing wrong with that. It just feels a bit off.
And while the customer service is superb, the food is pretty average, simple fare done well (aside from a rocket leaf salad obsession) but nothing to write home about in all honesty, so 4 out of 5 felt a fair compromise between service and the food.

Real quality ingredients with great menu options. Friendly laid back service and a nice welcoming atmosphere. Only reason not to make it a 5* is because pricing seemed odd between the two dishes we ordered. Full Irish breakfast included coffee and toast for €15, great value for the quality. Veggie Bap was also €15 but the tea ordered was charged at an extra €5.
