The White Horse in Cork

The food tastes good, but took a long time. The atmosphere of the restaurant is lovely, the price is reasonable. But the 4 stars are because of the delay, the drinks are delayed, the food is delayed, the bill is delayed. Overall, the food is good. If you go, I recommend booking in advance.

Loved this place - wish it was local to me! Staff is super friendly, drinks were great and the food was incredible - some of the best we had our entire trip! We even ate here twice within our 3 day stay in Ballincollig.

We always enjoy going to The White Horse. The food is excellent but it's the staff that make it. Paul looked after us this evening and made it a very enjoyable evening! Thanks to all the staff. We recommend to anyone visiting.

We were here for a family significant birthday. The food was really good, the service also really good. It was a lovely, relaxed afternoon. The only tiny quibble is that the restaurant wasn't open when we got there and didn't actually open until a few mins past our reservation time - on a damp March day in Ireland, not the best!

We called in for lunch and we were amazed by how friendly the staff were. I am embarrassed I did not get the name of the chap who served us. It was quiet at the time so we were seated straight away. The menu was extensive, so much to choose from. My wife is a former sous chef and ordered the BBQ chicken wrap and was extremely impressed. I'm a bit fussy ( I don't like cauliflower) so I got an extra portion of the most creamy mash potatoes I've had in an age. It's a pity we were in a rush, we would have loved to have tried dessert.

Have been to the White Horse many times over the years, as we're local to Ballincollig. Food is never a disappointment, and recently on our last few visits the staff have been phenomenal! In particular this visit, Paul! What a legend, he's a gent and kept us all (including our kids) entertained every time he came to the table. He's an asset to the company, and a rare find these days. Keep doing what you're doing! Easy to see why the reviews are so high for the establishment. (From the family, with the White Stripes lookalike - Paul will know!)
