Hit and miss. Starters were the highlight. Mains weren't seasoned properly, especially the duck, which is unforgivable at these prices. Waited over 45 minutes for desserts due to the waiter forgetting to put it in. No acknowledgement by management of this. It's a real shame because the dining room is lovely, great buzz in the place, and the menu reads really well, but it was not executed to the standard you'd expect on evening we visited.

There is not enough positive things I can say about our experience. We booked last minute for a weekend! The service was top notch. Super location. Safe and the cocktail bar drinks were far better then the Left Bank cocktail bar just down the street. The food was outstanding but my most favorite was the shower!! The absolutely best shower of our 2 week stay in all of Ireland! Thank you for a wonderful stay Zuni!

Stayed at Zuni on 1st May 2024 with my 13 yo son.
I booked over the phone at short notice, right from the first engagement on the phone it was a super experience.
We had some special requirements that were handled with 'willingness' and professionalism.
We had an excellent evening meal and breakfast the following day, top notch food and flexibility by staff/chef to our needs.
Rooms spotless functional, Location central with parking, Food a super experience, Staff are excellent.
Liked it so much I bought a gift certificate for a work colleague, so as to spread the joy!

Really nice and cozy hotel with a top restaurant. The location is very central in Kilkenny, parking is provided. The rooms are very clean and well furnished. We had dinner in the bar and it was sensationally good. A pure pleasure. It was two very nice days for us.

Well folks, I would rate myself among the 'easily pleased'. This is a small, comfortable establishment, very conveniently located to the main thoroughfare. Breakfast was good and all staff encountered were welcoming and pleasant.
I'm deducting one point for cultures growing in a kettle in Room 202. I only discovered this on the first mouthful of tea, which tasted putrid. I didn't make an issue of it because it was too late in the day, but it did slightly inconvenience me from my late night cuppa.
Finicky, I know, but warranting a 1 point reduction.
Otherwise, a good place to stay.
