02/02/2026: Food very tasty. Service for our big table wasn't great. Food we ordered weren't available but we were only told while the rest of our party were eating their dishes, this happenedwithdessert too. A few other incidents with poor service also happened. I'd imagine knowing you've a big booking plus being a bank holiday weekend, they would have at least ordered chicken breasts and had the desserts in stock. We went on Saturday. I won't be recommending in house sit down but Food was tasty so maybe the take away is good

16/01/2026: Very welcoming and friendly old world pub. We enjoyed all our time here and the live music was brilliant 👏. If you like the pubs the way they used to be stop in here for a pint. ☆☆☆☆☆

11/01/2026: Have eaten here, many times without issue, but service was exceptionally slow, certain tables were given priority, with other neglected. Two spoons of rice per person and soft drinks in half glass but full price (previously cans, now must be the small bottles). Otherwise the food was tasty.

04/01/2026: I was really disappointed with the value for money at this restaurant. While the staff were very nice and accommodating, the prices were far too high for what was actually served. When we were seated, we were asked if we wanted still or sparkling water, without being told the price. This turned out to be €6.90 per bottle, which felt excessive. We were also given a small dish of prawn crackers — about 7 in total between the three of us — which was surprisingly stingy. For my main, I ordered the crispy chilli beef, which cost €32. Unfortunately, it wasn’t what I expected at all. Instead of strips of beef, it was more like puffed, crunchy beef crisps, which was quite disappointing. Rice was not included and cost an extra €5, but it couldn’t be ordered for one person — only shared between two. Even then, the portion was so small it was barely enough for one person. Overall, the food portions were extremely small for the price charged. While the service was good, the experience didn’t justify the cost, and I left feeling disappointed rather than satisfied.

10/12/2025: Terrible attitude and service.And the response even got my surname wrong.What happened was I got a phone shoved in my face to show my booking wasn't accepted.A simple no would have been fine.I will be in touch with the Embassy to ask about the behaviour.

31/07/2025: Usually it’s great but last night they delivered a half spice bag with no spice when i ordered a large, with spice.

08/04/2025: Very kind workers, food is always crispy and hot, super fresh!!! Only takes 10 minutes or under to prepare food

03/01/2026: Got a spice bag off of deliveroo and it was the worst spice bag I’ve ever had. The chips were soggy and chicken was very clearly from the freezer. We counted two pieces of pepper and onion in the whole bag and to top it off they gave me two spice bags. Coke was also gone off and flat in the tin. The curry sauce had separated in the container and tasted like O’Donnell’s cheap sauce from the supermarket. Something so simple could be done so much better :(

15/10/2025: Food in here has become terrible ever since these new owners took over This place. Cleaboy chipper was one of the best chippers in the town by a mile. But ever since these new owners came the food has gone massively downhill especially in the last year or so,Also the price of food in here is absolutely ridiculous for the food that gets served. I highly recommend not to go here as there is plenty of better chipper's in waterford city.

20/09/2025: I only tried the chicken wrap, therefore I can only speak about that. It wasn't bad, but far from the best one I've had. The meat was a little bit too oily for my taste and didn't sit well in my belly. On the other hand, it's not expensive (atm), so that balances a bit. The service was fast, meaning that the staff is doing their best to serve every customer quickly enough. Overall, a good little spot for takeaway, if your expectations are not very high for the price.

20/10/2025: Ordered food for pickup on their website at 6:30 on a Sunday. Arrived to collect at 6:40. Staff couldn’t find my order initially until I gave the order number off my confirmation email. Said it’d be ‘a few more minutes’. Was finally ready at 6:55. My unusually long wait suggested they started cooking it after I arrived. Food was fine, as usual.

27/09/2025: The food is delicious, I prefer less black pepper, but it depends on personal taste. The atmosphere is pleasant and the waiters are also good.

30/01/2026: Absolutely disgusting, I ordered spice bag, there was hard dry drumsticks in it, no proper chicken and nothing else only spice powder, never again , people run away from this take away

01/02/2026: The lady who took order from me was coughing and she was literally sick 🤢 and I ordered chicken with Satay sauce and fried rice boom came home and there is no rice and they charged me for the whole things damm what a waste

27/01/2026: Very friendly staff. Phone number wrong on Google. Look for images and take phone number off menu to book a table. Booking essential. Food was delicious, large portions, overall not badly priced for the service.

24/01/2026: Do not order delivery Your food will be cold and inedible when it eventually arrives that is !!

20/01/2026: Had a nice meal last weekend. Only complaint was the curry sauce was a little bit week / watery.

03/01/2026: Had the spice bag and have to say it was unreal I’d say there was 10 chickens in it, there was that amount of chicken and not the stringy stuff. A nice flavour but did need a little more spice I’d definitely give it a high 9 out of 10 and only 9 quid
