25/02/2025: Well worth a visit if you can get a table!

20/02/2025: When lunch by chance turns into a beautiful moment... I'll start by saying that I didn't know the place nor had I ever heard of it but I can certainly say that it deserves double the 5 stars. Small and cozy and with kind, smiling, friendly and welcoming staff with a good sense of humor despite being in a hurry 😊. I came with a friend of mine and we didn't have to wait too long for a table inside despite the hour. The place is welcoming and the atmosphere feels like home. The menu is quite varied and the sight of the desserts🍰🥧 immediately made our mouths water. In defiance of my diet I had chicken goujons and my friend had brie with salad and chips for both of us. All accompanied by soft drinks, a Latte and 2 teas to top off the delicious carrot cake. Gnummy 😋Everything was excellent, both the quality/price ratio and the service/friendliness ratio. I will definitely return to try other options on the menu.😉 P.s. It was hard to resist taking away the beautiful teapots🫖😊

24/09/2024: As a new resident to Bantry, I looked for a "Local". I found The Boston Bar not very welcoming to new locals, but I did observe that they welcomed visitors and tourists. I found the locals and the bar staff not to be chatty. They served a great pint, but no atmosphere. I am retired and I did not try the bar at night time. I won't be going back there again.

17/10/2024: This place is a real gem. It's fantastic to find healthy AND delicious takeaway vegetarian food. And the cakes... oh the cakes. I'm so glad we'd stocked up before the storm arrived 😃

11/09/2024: Found by chance and enjoyed delicious coffee and chocolate Brownies. Back following day for cakes, croissants, sausage rolls and marmalade to go! Quality food at very reasonable prices with really friendly team. Love it!

20/03/2025: Nice chips but very expensive for what you get. Burgers and chicken dry.. they only take cash which seems dodgy...the staff member was very very rude... I think her name is Catherine... she was an experience!

03/11/2024: Just had curry cheese chips from the Bay Diner they were okay, not the nicest chips and €6 is a bit expensive! It was a small enough portion too. I’ve had fish and chips here before and got the southern fried chicken burger. I would say the food here is adequate and ok. I think it would be good if they considered the packaging that they use rather than using cheap polystyrene actually consider wrapping chips in paper even, at this stage I think it’s unethical for businesses to still be using this kind of packaging for the environmental impact.

28/12/2024: Drove over half an hour to try the food out ..very dissapointed tasteless watery rubbish. Staff are nice food is awful..dont waste your money.. Had korma,passanda and madras all were terrible.
