08/07/2025: Great pub. Fun atmosphere and the landlord it the salt of the earth. A must if you visit Bantry.

27/05/2025: We were in Bantry a couple of years ago. My brother and I stopped in while our wives were shopping. We had a couple of pints and struck up a conversation with the barkeep. He had spent the summer in California. Nice way to spend an afternoon.

17/07/2025: What an amazing cafe. Filled with artefacts from grandma's place. The coffee was superb. The atmosphere awesome. The scones...best I've ever had. Great conversation with Peter who does all the baking himself.

24/10/2025: This little gem is worth walking an extra 5 minutes from the main square. Visited first with a local and returned with my husband, who is very picky about his mochas. Lucky for us, Orla—the most gracious and wonderful barista—was there for both visits. In addition to her friendly demeanor, Orla serves up delicious coffee. Though the delights of Grounded Coffee are served from a cute little food truck, they offer plenty of seating… even a cozy, inside area with heat and comfortable seating. And there are great views too. Can’t wait to return!

24/10/2025: I am in from the US for six weeks and already Grounded Coffee and Orla (the cheerful woman behind the magic) are making me feel right at home. We are from the Pacific Northwest and are pretty judgmental when is coming coffee. Favors, artistry, consistency are all on display. Grounded Coffee even has an enclosed hut overlooking the harbor for those rainy days.

02/10/2024: Made a booking online then turned up (after driving 20 mins) and they have signs up saying permanently closed…suggest to change the booking system to stop taking bookings

30/09/2024: We ate twice at O’Connor’s whilst visiting Bantry - breakfast and diner - with a large and small family group. Our Aunt Margaret loves O’Connors so we skipped mass and headed over for a hearty breakfast. We had a large crowd over and O’Connor’s, who were very busy, were superb in accommodating our booking. Service was fast and attentive, the staff lovely even though they were rushed off their feet. Luckily Margaret had booked and we saw many people turned away. O’Connor’s is clean and modern, a lovely place that has a great atmosphere and the staff take time to chat, again, despite being busy. Portions are great and because I arrived a little late, the O’Connor’s team sorted me a fantastic gluten free bacon sandwich. A couple of nights later, we went for dinner with a smaller group and it was very good. We sat in the covered area out side and it felt very cosmopolitan, Brilliant restaurant, family friendly and good value. The key selling point is the fantastic staff. I understand it’s up for sale and the challenge for new owners will be matching how good this place is. Lovely people, good food and brilliant service.

02/11/2025: Best 'Fresh' Fish & Chips in Bantry town. Never disappointed, also you can sit down & relax when life gives you lemons too! Always Clean Oil, Fresh Batter even a widescreen TV couldn't ask for any better! These girls definitely work hard to deliver such Top Quality Food !! 😋

09/09/2025: we try to order them through website for the group but they didn't even have a website to order we order multiple times through nearby takeaways and they did great having proper websites discounts through foodhub and other platforms even they have an app.. kindly manage something. bad experience even they don't have proper menu
