19/04/2026: Their homemade/natural image does lose some credibility when the first step in the assembly line is stripping a plastic wrapper from a processed tortilla and putting it in a microwave.. falafel & houmous were great though and this spot could be excellent

15/04/2026: The Cheeky Pea provided an outstanding buffet lunch for 120 people at our big family event last weekend and the food was absolutely outstanding- pittas, dips, salads and chips- everyone loved it. They provided fantastic service in the lead up, checking in with us to ensure we knew they had everything ready for the big day. What a fantastic café run by a delightful couple!

10/04/2026: Good food, service and atmosphere. There's nearly too much in the burger unless you're hungry. Would go again.

20/12/2025: Visited for breakfast on the 16th. We ordered chicken benny, Turkish eggs, cheesecake, and 2 lattes. Later, I noticed the receipt charged €5 extra for 3 Blue Pea Lemonades, which we didn’t order. Also, our lattes were initially swapped with matcha, though the staff fixed it quickly. The café was very busy, so extra staff during peak hours might help. Overall, food was tasty; slightly larger portions or extra slice of bread would match the price better. But I hope this kind of mistake doesn’t happen to other customers.

14/12/2025: We visited Green Straw for breakfast in Dublin and tried the holiday specials menu, including the Bang Bang Chicken, Christmas sandwich, and caramel pancakes, everything was delicious. The flavors were amazing, the vibe was cozy, and the staff were incredibly welcoming. The chef even visited our table to check if everything was fine and explained the dishes, which made the experience feel extra special. One of the best breakfast spots we’ve been to, highly recommended and a must-visit whenever I’m in Ireland.

22/03/2026: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A fantastic dining experience! The service at Wine House is incredibly professional and welcoming, making you feel relaxed and comfortable. I especially loved their pasta—authentic, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. It's a perfect place for gatherings with friends, with a wonderful atmosphere for both dining and conversation. Highly recommended!

22/03/2026: Came here, after years of meaning to, had the tastiest lasagne I have ever had. My wife's pasta was the best she had in years. We also had the profiteroles which my wife said was her favourite she ever had. Service was swift and friendly and the restaurant was beautifully laid out. My only regret is I waited so long to vist, but I will certainly be back again. Food didn't last long enough for pictures to be taken.

25/03/2026: The food was really good 👍 and the service was friendly and attentive. The only downside is that the ambiance could use a fresh coat of paint.

16/03/2026: *avoid* Very disappointing experience. Service was extremely slow from the start. We weren’t even given menus and had to repeatedly ask for service throughout the meal. When we finished our starters the plates sat on the table for ages until we asked for them to be cleared, and our mains then arrived immediately afterwards on scalding hot plates that had clearly been sitting under a heat lamp for god knows how long. After finishing our mains we again had to ask for the plates to be cleared and then faced an even longer wait for coffee. Throughout this, not one member of staff apologised despite us having to repeatedly ask for basic service. To make matters worse, when we simply asked for cutlery, the manager responded in a very cheeky and dismissive manner. I can understand being short staffed can be stressful, but the attitude we received was uncalled for. What concerned me most was when a member of staff passed a cup of scorching hot coffee directly over my baby’s head, only a few inches away, which felt extremely unsafe and quite alarming. I told her to not do that, yet she continued to pass another cup even closer over his head. This isn’t a lack of service skills, but a lack of common sense. I shouldn’t have to ask twice for her to stop and to then not even receive an apology from her. We brought this up with the manager when leaving. She did apologise but not for the interaction we had with her prior when simply asking for cutlery. Overall the service was very poor, the attitude from staff was disappointing, and the lack of awareness around safety was very worrying.

18/03/2026: There for St. Patrick’s Day lunch, 8 ppl to our table. Rude upstairs staff (waitress with long red hair) makes snappy comment about 3 kids dancing to the traditional music and playing in the center of the room. They were not rowdy or rude, they were being watched well, as it wasn’t very crowded. She said something along the lines of “you need to move the kids. I can barely walk though here myself, let alone with kids on the floor.” A simple “hi, can you please have the kids dance near the table?” would’ve been polite and the correct way to address patrons. We already knew she was clueless when asked if she had any St Patrick’s Day themed drinks (like green beer) and she said “what’s that?” It’s exactly what it’s called. Green beer, you know for the many guests you have here for the parade… she said no and after taking a couple drink orders walked away without finishing and didn’t come back until we went to the kind gentleman at the bar to ask for our order to be taken. She didn’t even bring the two ordered drinks. Would’ve stayed longer if we’d had someone else serving us. Her attitude and lack of customer service skills really put us all off.

08/03/2026: Love the variety of shops however parking seems to have become a bit of a problem lately for some reason. The toilet facilities need a revamp urgently.

29/03/2026: Came here with a friend and our kids. Some of the staff was hostile and unfriendly, gave us a table and then said the table has to be back soon if we are just having drinks. After complaining, was told that the new policy is 30 mins for drinks and 1 hour if you're having food. Absolute disgrace, very unwelcoming especially when you're out for a cuppa with your mammy friends and little kids. It'll be one thing if we were finished drinking our coffees but my friend was still drinking hers and the waiter came over and said he needs the table and he can put her coffee into a takeaway cup, considering there was lots of empty tables it was a joke. Even the tables next to us were shocked by the fact we were asked to leave while only coming in, and told us to just stay and not worry about what was said. Unfortunately we were just so disappointed, at that stage just wanted to leave. Awful service! Editing after owner reply: Male waiter knows exactly what incident this was. Please look at cameras on that day, and see that the issue was raised on the way out the front door to the male waiter (think he is the supervisor) in the cafe and he clearly said it is the restaurant policy to have 30 mins for coffees and 1 hour for food, and didn't apologise, just said if we want we can make a complaint to the owner. A bit late when we were already told to leave and also had a small baby with us, very inconvenient and horrible situation to be in. I wouldn't mind if the coffees were actually drank but when the waiter tells you to put it into a takeaway cup and go it's a different story. Only the man next to us said to stay and drink them (he was a customer) we would have left earlier.

13/03/2026: Dropped in today for a meal with my wife . Cheltenham racing were on and the place was packed. Ordered turkey and ham and chicken chill wrap. Both dished were cold and my turkey dish I found 2 hairs. Hopefully this isn't the norm.

09/04/2026: One of the best restaurants by far. Even the takeaway food is the same quality as dining there. Generous portions and exquisite taste. Highly recommended. Staff are very friendly and always helpful.
