The best restaurants in Galway

10/12/2023: We made a order and was told it be with us in 30 minutes. ..over a hour later we get cold food and half the food missing .we den called back to tell this and they hang up the phone. Never ever again getting food from them

02/01/2024: An Bialann is a large canteen conveniently located in the heart of the campus, offering seating for about 750 people. However, my experience with the food here has been inconsistent, with both hits and misses. Despite this, I often eat here due to its convenience. One particular aspect that has frustrated me over the years is the evening routine of closing off sections for cleaning. I understand the challenges in managing the cleaning schedule of such a large canteen. However, it's been a recurring experience for my colleagues and me to find ourselves asked to vacate our seats shortly after settling down with our food, as the section we were in was closed down for cleaning. This occurred most recently in December, and I can't help but consider it poor customer service. Customers shouldn't feel like cattle being herded from one section to another. Additionally, the food offerings could be improved in terms of variety and quality. On a positive note, the staff, on the whole, are friendly, despite the challenges they face. In summary, An Bialann is a convenient option on campus with seating for many, but it suffers from inconsistent food quality, an irritating seating policy during cleaning, and room for menu enhancement.

24/10/2023: Food isn't great and neither are the prices. The hot food options are all bland, the salad is expensive and generates a lot of packaging waste. Every day the soup is "Homemade Vegetable". The best meal option is the breakfasts which are served until 11. But there is good light, booths, and abundant space. You could meet here with 15 of your friends almost any time of day.

23/09/2023: Popped in for a coffee before catching a bus to Dublin this morning. Absolute gent behind the counter and one of the best coffees I've had. New favourite cafe. Keep it up.

11/09/2023: Excellent coffee and excellet service. I had freshly made filter which was very good and a croissant which was tasty. Staff very polite and welcoming. Definitely recommend.

21/01/2024: Got Nasi Goreng delivered tonight.I do love this meal and I try new places to see where is the most delicious one. However recently I've bought Nasi Goreng paste in Terryland Asian shop and fried the rice by myself. I was not a fan because I found bits of sand or something that was cracking when I was chewing food prepared with this paste. Unfortunately Kawa used the same ingredient. Which is ready made paste from Asian store. Same chunks of something cracking between my teeth when chewing. Interesting 🤔

03/09/2023: Ordered via Just eat, delivery never came, rang the restaurant and couldn't care less and gave no information, basically saying tough luck.. Worst service ever.

27/11/2023: No visit to the market is complete without one of these yummy hot donuts. I can't get enough!
