28/03/2025: The food was so great at the hotel for lunch, we purposefully decided to leave Galway proper, and head back to the hotel to eat at the bar.
The service was so slow, we almost left.
The atmosphere is great. The food was terribly mediocre.
I would suggest eating in town if you dont reserve the restaurant.

Presented as an Irish pub, this place is an awful approximation of a good Irish bar.
Service is always slow. Too few staff, and too slow in serving
“We don’t serve food”, was the response when asked if we could buy even as little as
crisps or nuts.
Areas of the bar were blocked off for seating, even after a gig close by that the hotel restaurant had offered free cocktails for a few hours earlier.
The management rules, and general running of this place are completely at odds with a well run, customer positive Irish bar.
As an Irish person, I feel bad for tourists who come here and have a poor experience.

26/02/2025: Rude staff, apparently you have to bring your own cup if you want to get coffee after 2pm because they're "almost closing" despite them not closing for another while. It does not take an hour to clean a mug. Also extremely overpriced for a student cafe.

15/02/2025: The food is NOT it. With pasta tasting as stale rubber and chicken as rough as your dad’s beatings. A real roadhouse-quality food. Anyway, they do a great job presenting the food though
20/12/2024: Worst experience ever! We came for the Christmas Party and didn't get served. The waiters were lost and it took more than 2 hours to get the main course. Don't recommend!

01/02/2025: Absolute disgrace, currently sitting in here with a partner who was refused service because they were told “no special orders”. They asked for a burger with one sauce and nothing else on it. It wasn’t late it was 7 o clock. I’ve worked in a supermacs for years and had to do this job in a way smaller kitchen. And your refusing service from someone who can’t have anything else due to health reasons. It’s just laziness or disinterested. And this shouldn’t affect the customer. No matter if it’s due to allergens or not. Do your job please.

04/10/2024: Este solía ser el mejor Papa Rico en Galway, pero ha ido extremadamente cuesta abajo.
No gastes tu dinero aquí.
Cambiaron sus chips. Las nuevas fichas son del tipo barato y grasiento. El pollo al curry de la abuela es asqueroso. No es comestible en mi opinión. Realmente mal cocinado con una extraña capa gooey en algunas piezas. La salsa de curry era tan acuosa. No tenía ningún sabor.
En general muy mala comida.

16/04/2025: Bloody awful. The only thing going for this restaurant is the bread, service is beyond bad, the staff seem like they want to punch you in the face... even before you ordered.
Arguably worst restaurant on earth, and that's no exaggeration, sister.

04/10/2024: We were guests in the hotel and went to eat in the restaurant in the house. The waiter was very friendly and attentive. The food was very tasty and the price-performance ratio was right. Delicious cocktails are also served.
Can only recommend it.

15/08/2023: Knowing my friends visiting Galway, and knowing the town has a distinct Spanish influence, I just knew they had to have at least one outstanding Spanish tapas food truck delivered without fail! The food is amazingly delicious and the know Javi’s is so gracious and warm. They hit top marks across the board, 10/10 as the decor is equally as sharp as the food and service. Definitely visit if you're in the mood for a culinary treat along in Galway . Tapas & Go.
