The best restaurants in Galway

13/08/2025: LONG AND HONEST REVIEW AHEAD. We did NOT end up dining here due to the below events. VERY unprofessional. Not sure if it was just the selection of staff when we stopped, but they were all sat outside on benches lounging about when we pulled in. Stopped here with the intention of grabbing a couple of sandwiches. We were looking through the menu online in the parking lot before heading inside, but not even 2 minutes after parking, some guy came recklessly barreling into the lot, honking at the female staff (who were all giggling and sticking up their middle fingers—clearly all friends.) He then proceeded to whip into the space next to me, swing his door open, and very obviously clip my side mirror. I was absolutely shocked, not only that this had all happened, but that he didn’t apologize or acknowledge that it happened. I got out of my car, checked the mirror, and noticed a very obvious mark. I told the gentleman (who was now sat outside with the girls on the benches smoking) and he came right over. Said he worked at a garage and could “take care of it real quick” for me. I was not comfortable with this as the car is a rental. I took down his name and phone number in case the rental agency has an issue. He did not apologize once, and after he went and sat back down, none of the staff seemed to care either. In fact, they were laughing the whole time. I’m glad I didn’t end up spending money here. Terrible lack of professionalism.

01/08/2025: Great atmosphere, amazing customer service really recommended and my coffee always top quality.

13/07/2025: Convenience equaled disappointment. We checked in at 6P. Did not want to do much ahead of dinner so we opted for the bar restaurant. Sadly, the Caesar Salad was the worst I’ve ever eaten…the chicken dry beyond dry. Awful. Ate the salad without it so no protein. Service was sweet, kind and S L O W.

19/06/2025: Came here to try to find some vegan food and a few drinks.... To our delight they had a whole vegan menu which looked ok. When the food came out it was outrageously bland, I asked for vegan mayo.... After ordering two meals from the vegan menu and my response was " we have ordinary mayo?" Well why would I want that? The chips were as dry as Gandhi's flip flops and the drink.... Oh lord the Guinness glass was used several times before us without being washed by the looks of it and my Jamo and ginger looked like it had been licked by a dog with rabies. Don't go for vegan food or even if you want drinks from clean glasses

18/06/2025: Niall Fahy has removed his garage "N84 Car Sales" from Google Maps due to all the positive reviews I'm guessing. He is now calling himself "Castle View Motors" on Facebook. "STAY WELL AWAY FROM THIS PLACE" WILL NOT STAND BY HIS WORD so do not believe anything he says. Reading these other reviews I feel very glad that I only lost a few hundred euro of a deposit when I decided not to proceed with the sale of the vehicle. I did try everything I could to get my fully refundable deposit back from Niall as agreed but he refused to return my money. He was also too much of a coward to answer any of my calls and would only communicate via text message. People like this should be put out of business and not be taking business from other trust worthy people in the industry.

17/08/2025: All items overpriced, and many products out of date. Didn't realise till I went to open a bag of crisps the next day that it had expired 9 days before purchase and my friend had the same situation with noodles bought here.

17/03/2025: Good food but the price was high sky LIKE 6 € FOR a bit of chips and drink

26/02/2025: Rude staff, apparently you have to bring your own cup if you want to get coffee after 2pm because they're "almost closing" despite them not closing for another while. It does not take an hour to clean a mug. Also extremely overpriced for a student cafe.

28/10/2023: Wonderful patisserie that offers a few tables for a welcome stop to enjoy their tasty sweets with a hot beverage to rest and recharge on walks through Galway.

04/10/2025: Excellent food, locally sourced, all freshly prepared hood blend of modern and traditional, Excellent service 👌

15/05/2025: attended mother's day lunch here on Sunday the 30th of March 2025 with my mother and the food was absolutely delicious 😋

04/10/2024: Este solía ser el mejor Papa Rico en Galway, pero ha ido extremadamente cuesta abajo. No gastes tu dinero aquí. Cambiaron sus chips. Las nuevas fichas son del tipo barato y grasiento. El pollo al curry de la abuela es asqueroso. No es comestible en mi opinión. Realmente mal cocinado con una extraña capa gooey en algunas piezas. La salsa de curry era tan acuosa. No tenía ningún sabor. En general muy mala comida.
