Wild Honey Inn

Lisdoonvarna
19/10/2024: Loved the Wild Honey Inn, pity we didn't get to experience the restaurant, but the breakfast was amazing! The hotel itself is lovely and the owners were so welcoming. Would highly recommend.
16/10/2024: Extremely charming inn with an amazing breakfast and lovely garden (though we stayed a little off season for it). Well located to explore the Burren.

Sheedy's Hotel & Restaurant

Lisdoonvarna
04/09/2024: Absolutely one of the nicest bespoke hotels. Fabulous ambiance and excellent service direct from the owners.
26/07/2024: Stayed at Sheedy's two nights and wish we could have stayed longer. The rooms were big, nice, and well-appointed and the location is beautiful. What made our stay even nicer, however, was the exceptional staff and the amazing food. Everyone we met was very friendly and professional. We were with a large group and we all agreed that everything we ate was fantastic. I want to go back just for the potatoes alone. :)

Roadside Tavern

Lisdoonvarna
29/09/2024: We have never gotten a bad meal here at the Roadside and today was no exception. It was our first Sunday lunch and we both had the most gorgeous chicken and ham dinner along with the best pint of Murphy’s in Clare. Only remembered to take a photo of our apple crumble dessert at the end of our meal. Lovely staff too and the best atmosphere.
15/09/2024: While passing through lisdoon today we ventured into The roadhouse tavern .staff very friendly and the place was quiet enough considering its matchmaking fest time, we ordered the specials of the day I had bacon and cabbge and a pint of miwadi water.my wife ordered the special also it was fish on bed of rice also with a pint glass of miwadi water,my daughter ordered just soup.veg today.Anyway to make a long story short. The bacon was extra salty and my wifes fish was of average portion size but she enjoyed it. And my daughter enjoyed her little bowl of soup.On asking for the Bill it came to 63 euros for 2 specials and a bowl of soup and 2 pints of miwadi water .I Thought that it was a little saucy for sunday specials.Anyway we paid and left i was thirsty after the salty Bacon so i proceeded to buy a bottle of water in the corner shop in the village and then we decided to go into one of the pubs with music playing for a Drink and was refused entry .on asking why was told that we sell water here And you cant bring a bottle in with you....Need i say Anymore.....OHHHHH LISDOOVARNA.

The Irish Arms

Lisdoonvarna
10/11/2024: We visited for a late lunch on our way from the Cliffs of Moher to Galway and it was a very pleasant surprise. The atmosphere was great, it was a truly the most authentic Irish experience we had in our 10 days here.
04/11/2024: Stumbled upon The Irish arms after a long day exploring the Burren having travelled up with the kids from Cork. Stopped on the way down from Aillwee Caves, and being honest, it was the first restaurant/bar we came across and had a big sign out saying that food was being served - so we stopped. The place was dead, like, very empty except one other table who left after us. Not sure what the other reviews mention about the service - the server, at least when we were there was really friendly. Service was quick, and efficient too however, this is really where it stops. The menu is quite limited, and the food was a little bland. It wasn't bad - but, I wouldn't say it was special. The turkey was very bland, dry (even drier than turkey usually is.) Kids chicken nuggets were obviously frozen, but generic frozen type. You could tell it went straight from a bag in the freezer to the fryer. The decor of the place is quite nice, traditional but you can tell its centred towards tourists, primarily those coming from America or visiting the Cliffs of Moher. We're sorry afterwards, because we seen other places serving food further down in the town. Unfortunately, we won't be back anytime soon.

The Market Bar

Lisdoonvarna
22/10/2024: We arrived for a late lunch and were extremely disappointed. The meals were okay nothing outstanding. Desserts were disappointing and very high priced. To top it off there was little or no service. Every time we wanted tea, dessert, or the check, we had to search for to find someone. Would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.
16/09/2024: Fantastic place. I dont often say that. Great breakfas.t really lovely people. Such a good experience. So friendly so professional.
