28/10/2026: Good meals in a pleasant setting

21/10/2026: Went last night for dinner and the food was unreal. My salmon was perfectly cooked with a flavoursome wine sauce, my partner loved his fish tacos, my mum got the smoked haddock and said it was excellent too. i also had a goat's cheese salad that was very good. The waiter was very friendly while remaining professional. Probably my new favourite place for food now!

13/09/2026: Brunch at the Blackthorn; an exciting new contender to Galway's most authentic artisinal dining experiences e.g. Ard Bia/Nimmos, Ruibin, Fawn, Blackrock cafe - but in the beautifully understated village of Barna. We started our dining experience with a delicious refreshing micil gin spritz, followed by the Irish breakfast and French toast. These understated menu items were presented with absolute panache - a feast for the eyes as well as the tastebuds. Our dining experience was weaved together seamlessly by our beautiful server Aisling (~dream), who completely lived up to her namesake. In a nutshell: incredible dining experience - from the setting (earthy, natural lighting, subtle mood music, local touches throughout - see beautiful ceramic side dishes) to the food (local, seasonal, flavour delivered as an artform)
