The best restaurantsof irish in Oughterard

24/08/2025: Stopped for lunch as Oughterard was midway on our drive from Doolin to Clifden ... was thrilled to be able to stop, if only to take photos, as the name on the building matches my last name. We were able to sit and eat lunch on a rainy Sunday afternoon. The seafood chowder was the best I ate during our 2 weeks in Ireland (and I think I had seafood chowder at least 7 or 8 times) as it was chock full of seafood. Quality pour of Guinness as well. My kids rated the fish and chips highly and my wife loved the vegetable soup and brown bread. Will be back one day to linger a bit longer and sample the night life.

21/08/2025: Great atmosphere. Friendly and warm place. Rory and his colleagues are caring and very kind. Quality cuisine. Traditional music on Sunday evenings. A concentrate of Ireland just a stone's throw from Connemara. Go there without hesitation.

25/07/2025: Great meeting 😊 & eating spot😋 Friendly staff & good food...what's not to like.

08/06/2025: We visited here while fishing in May and had a few pints while sitting outside an excellent pub and great Guinness we will be back.
