28/03/2024: Have just spent an overnight in lawlors and to say it was a truly fantastic experience is an understatement... From our arrival to our departure the staff were wonderful,friendly and so helpful, the room was delightful so fresh and clean the bed so comfortable the bars and there are a few of them were great so well laid out. The restaurant where we had our evening meal was a true pleasure from starter to main to dessert all perfect could not fault in any way..I was so happy we chose Lawlors as it was for a birthday and the 4 of us all felt the same when leaving we will be back soon.. a special note had the pleasure to meet shona a manager there and to talk to her and see the passion she has for her job was wonderful to see in a person so young. Delightful we shall be back....and soon..

18/02/2024: Visited on a Sunday. 6 other people dining as we waited to be noticed while we stood inside the door , 2 people waiting for their food to be served. Asked if we could sit at a vacant table for 4 and were told yes but “just to let you know the kitchen is closed” I enquired as to what time the kitchen finishes on Sundays and was told 2.30. Looked at my watch and it was 2.31. Business must be good to be able to turn away a table of 4 when the heat lamps were still on at the kitchen pass. Will never darken the door again, clearly don’t need our business and maybe yours too. Grangecon kitchen a bit further down the road ( I recommend).

04/02/2024: Cutest cafe. I got the mixed hash and it was so good I couldn’t finish it all. Lovely staff and lovely atmosphere! They also have a lovely selection of items to buy like Kimchi

07/03/2024: Really excellent lunch at the Ballymore. Both of us really enjoyed the food, the featherblade of beef and the fish and chips. Both excellent, just perfect, was on our list to visit for a good while, was well worth the trip. Also, I have to commend the staff, they were excellent. Very attentive and made the dining experience extremely pleasant. Thanks to Paul and all his colleagues.

24/03/2024: I could fault nothing with the food it was gorgeous. The service on the other hand was awful. When the manager was there the service was fine. Once she left however it was another thing entirely. All members of staff disappeared completely for about half an hour. We could have walked out without paying and no one would have noticed. Then all waiting staff congregated up at reception and every table had to go to them to pay their bill. Took half an hour to take a desert order. We would make sure if we were going back to go earlier so the manager is there and the staff would actually want to work.

04/04/2024: Food was fine. Just fine, starters better than the mains. We had the brie and garlic mushrooms. Nice fresh Brie and mushrooms were good. Chicken curry special which was plentiful but bland. Second main of southern fried chicken burger, again quite bland. Just tasted like regular breded chicken. Went elsewhere for dessert.

27/02/2024: Food really lovely, nice atmospheric & attentive table service. However, the door is slightly narrow on way in...no effort made on behalf of staff to open second door to accommodate me on crutches...saw an elderly lady have the same struggle with the doors...would be a nightmare with a buggy or wheelchair

14/03/2024: This was an excellent experience in Saddlers. The staff were top class and could not do enough for you. The service was so quick and the food was fabulous. Would recommend Saddlers to anyone looking for great food and excellent service. We will definitely return.

21/03/2024: Used to be a great spot for students. But now it’s a ruined place regarding everything about it. All the staff including the bouncers are great and can always have a nice chat but the management is a disgrace. Me and my friends got felt up one night there and at one point, he did it in front of the manager and I self defended myself but I’m the ONLY one getting kicked out?? Management are so rude and believe they right in every case. Just not worth the money anymore and ruined the whole “student night” experience that they constantly promote as the “best” . ✌🏼
