06/06/2025: We were here last year while on a trip to Ireland and I should have written this review sooner, but I just wanted to say we really enjoyed their gluten free fish & chips and cottage pie! Yum! Also the atmosphere here was very nice and just what you'd expect from a proper old time Irish pub.

05/06/2025: We visited Cornstore, for the first time, to celebrate my boyfriend’s birthday, and unfortunately, our experience was far from what we had hoped for. From the very beginning, the service was deeply disappointing and unwelcoming. One staff member in particular, D…, was remarkably unprofessional and discourteous. When we inquired about a specific dish we had seen featured in multiple photos and videos on Cornstore’s official Instagram account, D… responded with an unnecessarily aggressive tone, stating — quite shockingly — that he could “swear to God” that such a dish had never been on the menu. This statement was not only inappropriate but directly contradicted the restaurant’s own promotional materials, making the experience feel misleading and verging on false advertising. We had arrived with the intention of enjoying a full evening: starters, main courses, desserts, and wine. However, due to the unfriendly and dismissive manner in which we were treated, we felt deeply uncomfortable and considered leaving shortly after being seated. This was meant to be a joyful celebration, but the attitude of the staff — particularly D… — completely overshadowed any potential the evening had. Sadly, I cannot recommend Cornstore to others. The service does not match the image portrayed online, and the overall experience did not live up to the reputation the establishment seems to enjoy.

23/05/2025: My first visit to Ireland and it's been a great time so far. My friends and I wanted to find a great, local restaurant and we found Freddys! The food was delicious and the service was friendly and professional. Exposed stones and low lighting created a cozy atmosphere. We had the opportunity to meet the owner, Freddy, who was an absolute delight! If I ever find my way back to Limerick, I will surely find my way back to Freddys.

Met the owner and I think it’s always a good sign when the owner is working amount the staff supporting service. I always try to get a booking while in Limerick - one of the nicest restaurants in Limerick

19/05/2025: Super clean hotel, located on the Shanon River, friendly staff, helpful and kind! But eating in the in-house restaurant is only for gourmets. We came on our tour from Bantry, unpacked and explored the town, were really hungry, went into the restaurant and were looking forward to the food, it was beautifully presented but we didn't get full, although the breakfast was great!!!

28/05/2025: A great pub! There's a great atmosphere and the burgers are good. However, it's unfortunate for foreigners to come and try local beers and end up with a Heineken on the waiter's choice!! Also, if you're ever a little thirsty, as they say, don't ask for water because you'll have to pay for it no matter what! It's a real shame because the pub is nice and well-located if you want to visit King John's Castle.

My Compliments to Management/Staff and to The Cheff or Cheffs. I Would Say Anyone go there You will Stay Going there Permantly. Thank You Franklins Management and Staff.

10/04/2025: My go to place for the best coffee and the best service. There is one staff who is very kind I dont remember her name. She was working on April 11th 3.50pm with a pink shirt, curly hair.

01/06/2025: We visited McGettins on our first night in Limerick. It was the restaurant/bar inside our hotel, Limerick City Hotel. We actually were going to go somewhere else but they gave us a $5 voucher per person upon checkin. It was a great business move, because it did entice our hungry tired selves to just venture down there instead of go outside of the hotel. We went around 6:30 pm and there were minimal people, most likely due to it being a Monday night. I ordered the Carbonara and my partner ordered the fish and chips. The food came out very quick, within 10 minutes of us ordering and it was very hot. They were both delicious, I even preferred the fish and chips here to the one I ordered at Locke Bar down the street the next night. We also ordered an Orchard Thieves for the first time and it was refreshing and not too sweet for a cider. I took off a star for service because we were a bit confused how it all worked. We were told to sit wherever but weren't sure if we were supposed to go find someone to order or if someone would come to us since both servers/bartenders were behind the bar. The restaurant had a nice atmosphere though with comfortable seating and fun decor.

14/06/2025: We recently had a family gathering for my sister in law’s birthday. We dealt with Colette when booking and I have to say she was the most helpful and friendly bar manager I have ever met. She could not do enough for us and made sure everything was perfect. We ordered finger food which was very tasty and we had an area to ourselves. I would highly recommend.
