06/11/2024: Celebrated my daughter's graduation here with a fantastic meal and brilliant service. The staff were very friendly and very attentive. Highly recommend this place.

02/11/2024: The staff were friendly and welcoming, the food was absolutely amazing, I daresay one of the best Café's I have ever been in, the food wasn't just good, it was pure heavenly. I left feeling like I was walking on a cloud, full and delighted. We had the Pesto Chicken Wrap, the BLT, the Soup; Tomato and Basil, creamy, thick, and so so so delicious. 😋 The coffees were so good and tasty, and whatever cups they use, it kept our drinks hot until we finished our meal. Compliments to the Chefs 👨‍🍳 ❤️ and staff!

23/11/2024: My partner and I were to meet my family members for pre concert drinks at the locke bar .when we arrived in it was busy but not too busy ,there were a few tables with white paper reserved notes on them ,so naturally we avoided these ,my partner went towards the back and to the right and found us a small round table .as I made my way I spotted a nice one near the fire in a corner that people were just vacating and we sat at it .my partner went to the bar and a friendly server/bar person started chatting with me and at no stage in the conversation was I told that this table was reserved!,nor was there any white paper sign SAYING SO !.other family members were running a tad late but just as they arrived a young man arrived at our table to say, were we told that this table was needed in 10 mins ! . My partner said no we were not to which he replied well were you shown to the table or did you find it yourselves !!I despair what does that even mean .!!! No where in this establishment was there a sign saying please wait to be seated, either. !!!!!.Now just before that stage I spotted a group of people arrive in and a female server directed them to the other side of the pub to the left ,but for whatever reason it didn't see to suit them and that is when they took our table from us !!!I i kid you not !!!They thought the could maximise on what they could sell and that's about the size of it ,which is very poor form and greedy!! ,I could see the whole sorry affair and I can tell you for all the upheaval that was caused to us, the group from what i vould see and for the time i was there bought 1 light bite and nursed their drinks too. Come on the locke bar what about custoner fairness ,we were asked as we sat if we were eating or having drinks ,we told them drinks ,if it was an issue then we should have been told ,the clue us in the name guys THE LOCKE wait for it !!!!!BAR !!!!!. There are a lot more pubs doing excellent food in this city and I encourage locals and tourist the like to get out and find them !!!

13/11/2024: I took my family to Dolan's on 8th November it's their second visit where we have eaten. We were so lucky to get the same waitress Elaine who was so very attentive pleasant chatty and made sure all 9 of us were happy with our food and drink. Theres always a great atmosphere can't rate this place enough or their staff but especially Elaine hopefully next time we get you to wait on us again Elaine. Looking forward to our next occasion in dolans

16/11/2024: My friend who has a nut allergy ordered the eggs benedict which has no nuts listed as an allerge. After eating he noticed what seemed to be pesto on the plate so we enquired if there were nuts in what he just ate again after double checking that there was no nuts listed on the menu item which there was not. We had to run to the car to get an epipen and all we got was his meal only complimentary and barely any attention was even paid to us following that. Would not recommend to those with food allergies.

20/10/2024: I love this cafe, it has a Intimate atmosphere, everything is perfectly delicious!! You are served by the owner, who is kind and friendly. I highly recommend!!

28/08/2024: Loved this coffee shop. We’ve been struggling to find good coffee across scotland and ireland, and this hit the spot. The food/pastries were amazing, and exceptionally fast and friendly service. Definitely worth going out of your way for :)

01/11/2024: I was craving for Nigerian okra soup on 31-10-24 night but what I got was okra stew very dissatisfied 😒

12/10/2024: Food was spiced well but very mushy due to it being mostly entirely reheated. Staff were friendly but kitchen just seemed very chaotic. Wouldn't be totally confident in the hygiene practices given we saw a used tongs being taken back out of the sink at one point during food service so probably won't be back.

09/11/2024: Great food and coffee. Had the breakfast crepe and cappuccino which were well worth the price. Atmosphere is very cosy and welcoming.

31/10/2024: I ate a delicious muffin with apples and caramel and drank good coffee served exactly as I wanted. Service great, prices ok. I recommend! Important information: do not take your pets, they are not allowed inside. You can stay at the table outside :)
