The best restaurants in Limerick

09/06/2025: We got a lovely welcome from Julia. The hotel is very quaint with excellent food..albeit it very boutique . I also enjoyed my Spa treatment with Ray. The location is excellent. There is a nice park adjacent and the next door Georgian house museum NO 2 pery square is well worth a visit.. unfortunately our small bedroom was not in the original part of the house . The twin beds were very very narrow and the pillows quite hard. However, the place was very clean. There is no parking available except street parking which is free at the weekend. We did not feel comfortable parking my sisters car in that area and justifiable so because we found it well scratched on the right rear door. We did not notice this till we arrived at the next vacation stop. However, it was a lovely luxurious experience and I hope to return with my husband by train from Galway.

04/06/2025: Our only regret is that we only spent one night here. Exquisite hotel. Service that takes one back in time. Exceptional. The rooms are spacious. Loved the extras, like an old timey radio playing in the room upon entry. The bed was the most comfortable of any hotel we have ever stayed in. We will hopefully get to come again.

28/06/2025: Proper pub with a courtyard too. Great Guinness and Beamish on tap. Didn’t try the Murphy’s though.

12/06/2025: Just had a wonderful dining experience at the East Room. We were celebrating a graduation and decided to splurge on a fine meal. No better place to spoil a smart graduate. Picky GF diner was most happy with her options.

22/06/2025: Had an amazing meal at The Curragower Bar and Kitchen — this place seriously hits the spot. It's right by the river with views of King John's Castle (major bonus), and the vibe is just chill and welcoming. The food? Unreal. Tried a few vegetarian options and was genuinely impressed. The Eden Burger is packed with flavour, the risotto is creamy and comforting, and the summer salad is super fresh and zingy — perfect on a warm day. And don’t even get me started on the sticky toffee pudding... rich, gooey, and absolutely lip-smacking. You need to save room for it. Parking can be a little hit or miss since it’s close to the city centre — give yourself a few extra minutes to find a spot, especially during busy times. All in all, great food, lovely staff, and one of the nicest spots in Limerick to kick back with a pint or a proper meal. Highly recommend!

05/07/2025: Food was amazing! Had the steak. Cooked medium rare perfectly. Big group and everyone enjoyed the evening. The staff are very experienced and the meal went flawlessly.

07/05/2025: This is a cool little spot with great coffee and a chill vibe. Perfect place to grab a coffee or a quick bite to eat. The lunch was amazing

11/04/2025: A full buffet with a variety of salads, appetizers, and delicious dishes. Al Yasmine Restaurant truly deserves five stars with its reasonable prices, full buffet, and friendly staff.

23/05/2025: Absolutely love the cheery atmosphere of this place. FFF (Friendly fast food) = Great memories. Close to the train station. Right across the street. Fresh chips that are made specifically to order. Hot and made to order. Yum. Seriously. You must try this place.

23/05/2025: This take out restaurant was fantastic!! Food made with love, by amazing women, that was DELICIOUS!!! We stumbled on Luigi's looking for a lunch out of the train station and what a find. I decided to get the chicken nugget box. It came with lots of yummy fries (chips), a delicious onion ring, and yummy, satisfying nuggets. The food was fresh, quick, and yummy. The women working there were amazing! Fun! and took their work seriously providing a great product, at a very reasonable price. Such a great find!

17/06/2025: Very cute. OG hipster vibe (in a good way). They had a chair my granny used to have in her house so I made myself very cosy. The staff seem to have a great relationship with customers and were lovely

22/06/2025: We stopped in on the warmest day of the year to grab a pint and cool off for a bit while checking out Limerick. Rob our bartender greeted us warmly and took great care of us while we enjoyed our drinks. Rob chatted with us while we drank and we enjoyed the conversation. He shared some history of the bar and provided us some wonderful recommendations for local shops and dining. Do yourself a favor if you’re in Limerick and visit Ma Hogans to grab a pint and a chat. Say hello to Rob for us!

30/05/2025: This was fun, and the barman couldn't have been more adorable (and he helped me fix my Gaelge!) We sat out front and people-watched, and there was certainly plenty to watch! The Guinness was great, too!

28/05/2025: Super nice service & delicious food. Had the fried rice & chicken. Y’all gotta try puff puffs with caramel sauce, good stuff 👍

08/05/2025: Amazing music, only a 15 minute wait when they were short of staff and I ordered a feast, also the service was so stellar! Doublechecked the order, made sure I got everything, and threw in an order of plantains for free. The food was piping hot all the way home and packaged so well, everyting was wrapped up to not spill. The food is as authentic as it gets! The proper amount of spice and all! Very reasonable prices as well! The portions are quite large!

28/05/2025: A great pub! There's a great atmosphere and the burgers are good. However, it's unfortunate for foreigners to come and try local beers and end up with a Heineken on the waiter's choice!! Also, if you're ever a little thirsty, as they say, don't ask for water because you'll have to pay for it no matter what! It's a real shame because the pub is nice and well-located if you want to visit King John's Castle.

21/06/2025: A great little "local" pub, where everyone knew each other. I was welcomed as one of the locals and even invited to join the conversation. I only stopped for one but it was well worth it.
