South's Pub

17/06/2025: Just popped in for a pint of Guinness as it was recommended as a nice pub. The inside of this place is stunning. They were serving meals (was a Sunday and roast beef looked a winner) from a hot counter. Looked amazing but didn’t have time to eat here. Hopefully next time.

19/05/2025: Super clean hotel, located on the Shanon River, friendly staff, helpful and kind! But eating in the in-house restaurant is only for gourmets. We came on our tour from Bantry, unpacked and explored the town, were really hungry, went into the restaurant and were looking forward to the food, it was beautifully presented but we didn't get full, although the breakfast was great!!!

04/06/2025: What a shame and disappointment. Had not been for a year but previously has eaten at least 5 times the delicious Chicken Thai green curry. But today it was sloppy. Like an Irish version of Thai “carbonara”. Terrible. Even chips were undercooked. Such a shame. Original curry was so authentic. Today was a cream mush. Left June 25. Right pic May 24.
30/05/2025: Really nice spot with good food, great desserts, and well-made cocktails. Staff were polite and professional, especially the bar staff who were excellent. A solid choice for an evening out with friends. Relaxed atmosphere and enjoyable all around. Cocktails and desserts definitely recommended!

25/06/2025: A curated rotating selection of craft beers brewed on location. Comfy and not terribly busy.
Pints are ~50c-70c pricier than brand name beers in other pubs, but the taste is worth it.

23/06/2025: We have been here many time. Kudos to staff members who are excellent from the time we get to the table till we leave. They are so efficient. The foods are always high standard and the portion are good.
13/06/2025: It’s been quite awhile since I was in this restaurant we were seated straight away. We both loved the restaurant and how cozy and comfortable it was, we were served very quickly and the staff were friendly,
I ordered the filet steak and it was cooked perfectly, my wife had the burger and she loved it, we will have to come back again as there is a lot on their menu that I would like to try.
My only complaint was the onion rings I found the batter too heavy.

19/05/2025: Excellent food and coffee with very friendly efficient service from all staff. I’ve been here a number of times now, and always enjoy my meal, and look forward to each visit. Nice choice of the usual breakfast dishes, always nicely cooked. Coffee excellent. The staff are superb, welcoming and helpful. Highly highly recommended.

01/06/2025: I went here a few times over my year in Limerick, the food is always quite good and they have great variety on the menu. I really like the atmosphere as well. They have robot cat servers which is a bit strange but cute, and they speed up the service.

Well located, for food, go to the Locke bar (great pub).
The hotel breakfast is amazing.
