15/02/2025: A week after the ferocious storm which had been on 25 January we went for a ride out to the coast as it was a very sunny, if slightly cool day. Late afternoon we drove to Ballina and thought we'd eat at the Ballina Manor hotel. What an exquisite place!. Lovely sumptuous carpeting and furnishings with dining tables set alongside windows affording lovely views of the river, bridge and the town. The meal was excellent. Very large portions, served hot and with the steak cooked to our liking. The service was excellent too. We cannot wait to eat there again.
04/02/2025: From the minute I arrived at the Ballina Manor the staff were so friendly and welcoming. The rooms are spacious and top marks for cleanliness. They all deserve recognition for excellent customer care, you're not a number here, the personal touch in every aspect of my stay.

13/01/2025: I was there for lunch which was excellent. I did not stay or avail of the spa facilities.
09/01/2025: Beautiful hotel,staff were very helpful and attentive.Food was beautiful if a little expensive.There is a bar menu and restaurant menu dishes served practically the same only the restaurant menu more extensive and more expensive.The facilities were top class,the treatments,the jacuzzi the steam room,the sauna complete with overhead Ice bucket out side exhilarating even on a freezing cold afternoon.I had a back massage the therapist was very attentive with just the right amount of pressure applied to trouble areas.The atmosphere in the spa area was very relaxing and calming,spotlessly clean and warm.Overall a wonderful few day's away after the madness of December.

29/12/2024: We went to this restaurant on a busy Saturday - a party of 21 with no reservation. The staff quickly sorted us with tables and we enjoyed a delicious meal and drinks. Very friendly and attentive servers - thank you!

12/01/2025: Normally love eating here but went there yesterday for my mothers birthday. Menu had changed,very limited and the choice was so random and inordinately expensive. Burgers with macaroni and cheese congealed on top?! Dishes with sauce that absolutely didn't compliment them. A steak pie with a teaspoon of filling. Service was appallingly slow. 4 of us served our meals and one left waiting another 10 minutes. Dessert, apple crumble and custard, was cold. Again, just a spoonful of applesauce in the crumble, and a spoonful of cold custard. Table left uncleared for at least 40 minutes after we finished. Then they got our table tab wrong and we ended up paying for another table. There was only about 3 or 4 tables occupied.
Overall, very disappointed. Such a shame
12/01/2025: Terrible service on a very quiet (so no excuse) evening. Menu is terrible,confusing and completely random. Food itself was below par and together with the awful service was completely unacceptable. Shame as it was warm, comfortable and cosy but not somewhere I would recommend or wish to return to
