07/03/2024: We stayed here on December 1st last.
At booking we were quoted €120 for the room. On arrival we had to pay up front €150.
On arrival in the room, there was no heating. It was 2° outside on the night. The lady in charge said she would put a heater in the room, which I think she did. We were attending a function downstairs and did not see any heater.
There was no hot water in the morning for a shower. The manager was not available to talk to. We expressed our dissatisfaction to the bar staff and asked the manager to meet us.
We were told by bar staff that we were the only ones to complain and the hotel was full that night.
I wrote letter of complaint to the manager early Dec and to date I have not had any response.
Not good enough for 150€ on a very cold night in December.

28/03/2024: Until I visit again, this place receives one star... Why? Well firstly, we could not get through on the phone and the email address bounces back... Secondly, when we arrived the place had lights on but looked closed, I entered the 'reception' area, to an overwhelming smell of gloss... Nobody around so walked out. Will try again one day, but not in a hurry.
23/03/2024: The quality of food was amazing. The choice on menu was good too. The staff front of house in the restaurant were friendly and attentive. Would recommend here highly.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

02/04/2024: The place is neither cheap nor expensive but definitely not worth going. Food was very poor and didn't present well. At first waitress brought a crispi chicken and tried to convince me that it was what i exactly ordered, 3 people confirmes i ordered duck - she was standing there for another while trying to leave it at the tabel, she took it eventually. As much starter was just ok, the main dish Duck was just a grilled breast of duck (half skin still fat and the other half burned and dry) with nothing else at the plate. Boiled rice came separately, I was the only one to order it as all rest of people had a dish (with rice/noodles included). The waitress brought second rice and said we ordered it, no one knew that we did and we said definitely we ordered one, she was amended we definitely did and eventually she just left it at the table and add to a charge, no one touched it but we were still charged for it. My partner ordered a dish without prawns but he told me that the dish tasted like it was already previously cooked together with prawns they were only taken out of the dish - thankfully he is not allergic to shellfish only doesn't like it!
01/04/2024: We visited on Easter Monday 2 adults and 1 child. Nice food, good service, good prices. Highly reccomended. Really enjoyed this visit.

26/10/2023: Lovely selection of bedding...Julian Charles..Ochre king size duvet cover set €30.. lovely design and soft feel to material...Also very nice selection of knitwear in store..very welcoming and helpful staff
21/10/2023: Classic old style department store has be operating here for over 100 years . The shop now has independent tenants the trade their own brands in the store . The Lyons cafe is a real gem and a cofee here is always a good idea . Lyons store is located next door to green main post office and a landmark in the sligo shopping map

02/09/2023: Customer service is excellent, which is why I keep returning despite the high prices. What I would suggest is fixing the hours posted on Google Maps, as I've experienced several instances when it's stated as open, but the establishment hasn't opened yet or has already closed.
17/07/2023: Sunday rituals for me means having brunch from daybreak. This practice was started and going strong since 3 years. Visited this place when I was a student at UCC and grabbed a hot chicken wrap for the first time and that was a start of the long journey. I visit this place every sunday to enjoy a hot chicken wrap and a portion of wedges.
Great range of fillings and sauces and generous fillings making it a sumptuous meal
