15/12/2025: Excellent experience here, very good food, prompt and welcoming service. In the middle of Cashel, easy street parking. It's worth deviating off the motorway. The Guinness is good. The pate was just right texture and taste.. Soup delicious. The plate of meat could serve 4 people and was delicious. Fish was excellent. Best tables for atmosphere are downstairs but it can get crowded. Upstairs is comfortable. Good people and would go back.

05/12/2025: We were recommended this pub by the hotel next door, we were in great spirits and looking forward to a nice drink. There was a really unwelcoming man working at the bar, told us “to go back to where we came from”. We swiftly left, and after speaking to a few staff members in the hotel, they told us “yes, they aren’t friendly to non locals in that pub” .. very strange behaviour, and should be more mindful of how near you are to a busy hotel, and be more welcoming and friendly to non locals, maybe even find a more pleasant and less miserable bar man to serve. 13/09/2025: Menu outdated, I picked the lasagne because the menu didn’t appeal to me and the lamb shank I’ve had twice before I wasn’t happy with. The steak was way overpriced so I couldn’t choose that… The Lasagne was served in a shallow enamel dish (like the old butter dishes), portions too small for Priceline attached. What I thought was really terrible and insulting, I was asked if I’d like chips or salad with the lasagne? Makes no sense at all, of course you’d want both for the price! When it came, there was very few chips and a measly bit of salad! I also found a napkin on the plate under the food, I was gathering chips and salad on the fork when it peered out at me. Thank god I copped it! My wife had a vegan or vegetarian bruschetta…. I mean 1 slice of bread for €16. It’s not Gordon Ramsey and actually I’ve eaten in the ivy in London and had bigger portions. Absolutely insulting prices for what we got. The menu is basic and not very appealing. Also a hotel selling burgers for €20 when you can get a burger anywhere in Cashel the same quality for a lot cheaper makes it a sham. Take off the same old items from the menu (burgers, lamb shank etc) served for years and update with more creative, vibrant dishes worthy of the high prices yer charging. Big disappointment for our anniversary evening.

17/08/2025: Dropped in for some late lunch and managed to get an outside seat as beautiful afternoon. Excellent service. Food perfect as always.
