The best restaurantsof irish in Dungarvan

14/04/2025: It was only alright. The food was beautiful very very nice we went for breakfast on the way in the door we got 2 menus thrown at us and told yes want to hurry up because I might own the restraunt I’m not boss of the kitchen and yell get nothing , we glanced at the menu for two seconds and she took them again we didn’t even get to read them , then with my breakfast I asked for no mushroom both came with no mushroom my partner asked the waiter politely for a small side portion of mushrooms and I was told “ no, no no no mushroom no beans no “ then continued to tell the table beside us that the special today was mushroom vaulovaunt and for that do u not use mushrooms ???? We just felt rushed around gazed at and thrown out the door it was a joke (Also the price of steak went up €5 and only in this restraunt ??)

01/05/2025: First class restaurant especially in the sunshine. Hard to get a table outside. Staff very pleasant. Food delicious great selection portion very good. Would recommend this place.

24/04/2025: Unfortunately, my chicken breast inside my chicken burger was undercooked for my liking. I noticed some blood inside the middle of the chicken and pointed it out to the waitress who then took it back into the kitchen only to return and told me that the chef said its just the veining in the chicken. I was gobsmacked with this comment! I think the waitress noticed the shock on my face!. I did not eat the chicken and I didnt want to cause a scene as the restaurant was busy. However, when I went to the till the owner completely blanked me. I go to the Interlude quite regular so I was very disappointed. I was charged for this meal, no-one asked about the if we enjoyed our meals, etc. Never had this experience before when the waitress is talking for the chef.

02/04/2025: It was very busy but they managed to get us a table. The staff was really nice and the food was great! I had the goats cheese tartlet it was gorgeous and the small portion with a side of fries was pretty filling. The desserts are to die for!

06/04/2025: Would give zero stars if I could. Staff member needs to learn how to speak politely to their customers even if under pressure. We were rudely told we were "clogging" the stairs when we had just arrived. Would put you off from ever going back.

05/05/2025: Not great to be honest. Was hoping for better. I got a sloppy under-cooked burger and average chipper chips. Kids chicken coupons were decent enough.

05/05/2025: I recently went here for dinner. I was hoping for some lovely fish and chips. When we had arrived at 6:30 there was barely any options for fish left except scampi. I got the scampi and my partner had to settle for goujons. We were extremely disappointed when we received our order as only two goujons came with the “meal” and a few chips. I don’t think this is good enough when you are charging almost €8 for it. A portion of chips is €4 and had more in it than the goujon “meal”. Very disappointing. The scampi was okay but was very expensive for the amount of food received as it was €14.50. Overall I wouldn’t go back and would advise others to not also.
