Completely under-rated.
The food is delicious for either breakfast or lunch.
But it is the service that is excellent, you don’t get service like that anymore.
Very attentive, make you feel so welcome. All the girls were great, a credit to the place.

27/08/2025: I caught them on a bad day this time. No haddock, ling was nice but small, chips were warm, not hot and they had run out of Pelegrino lemon drink. My previous visit was 5 star for everything

15/08/2025: The Staff in interlude are exceptionally welcoming & friendly. The venue had live music on the Fri evening. Food was very tasty.
10/08/2025: We were a walk-in group of 3 and the restaurant was full but we were seated outside and then moved inside when a table became available. This gave us time to look at the menu and the quay. We sat at a window table inside which gave us a perfect view of the quay as well. The service was attentive, efficient and friendly. The food was delicious I had the mussels, and the other two guests had the seafood linguine and the monkfish. I highly recommend this restaurant.

07/09/2025: Excellent food and service. A great range of veggie, vegan and meaty dishes. The staff are always excellent. I go here regularly with work and being the kids at weekends.
22/08/2025: Excellent value breakfast, all locally sourced quality produce, all served with a cup of tea or coffee ☕️. Well worth a visit .

25/08/2025: Thank you for exceeding our expectations to celebrate a family event this weekend. The staff were fantastic dealing with such a large group and private dining room was lovely. The food (Sunday lunch menu) was excellent, everyone loved each dish they chose, raved about the oysters and crab creme brulee, trout and hake in particular. Thank you, all made the day very special and we loved it.
24/08/2025: One of the most enjoyable dining experiences we have had! Every bite was delicious, and every detail of the meal was perfection! The staff were warm and friendly and very attentive throughout. We were recommended this restaurant by a number of people but it still managed to exceed our expectations. Divine!

19/08/2025: Perfect location for central Dungarvan, plus free parking just outside. Lovely staff (especially Roisin). Nice breakfast. Rooms on the small side but fine for a few days. We will be back.
14/08/2025: A delightful bnb. Rooms were spotless and a lift was that came in very useful. Breakfast is a mix of continental and Irish and help yourselves. Lots of places to eat nearby. Overall a yery good experience.

The only disappointment was that the breakfast could be better quality tastier products. Deserves more than its 3 star rating
21/04/2025: Clean room for £80 per night, friendly staff and the location couldn’t be better. The hotel could do with a bit of renovation etc but it’s more than reflected in the price!

Was here a few years ago and decided to return .
2 pastries , one americano ,and one cappuccino cost almost 16 euro .
This is surely ripoff Ireland at its best .
The place is old fashioned , staff are young and not particularly friendly. I would expect better customer service , training would be an advantage.
Its a shame as its in a prime location.
09/06/2025: Supposed to open until 6.00 pm, I arrived at 4.30 pm, looking for a coffee and a snack. The two dour youngsters behind the counter told me I could not have one of the sausage rolls on view, and could only have a coffee in a takeaway cup, as they were closing at 5.00 pm. I won't be back.

Anchor Bar

10/08/2025: Had a pint and a generous glass of wine on heated area in front of the bar. Lovely location lovely view of the harbor and a lovely price.
09/07/2025: We a family of 4 walked upon The Anchor while visiting Dungarvan. As it looked busy we decided to have lunch. Glad we did. We had two fresh cod and chips and two burgers and chips. The fish was fresh and tasty. The burgers were Devine and portions large. Highly recommend The Anchor for food if you in Dungarvan. Lovely clean pub in a beautiful setting overlooking the harbour.
