22/09/2026: We ate at The Shamrock twice during our stay in Dungarvan this summer, for both breakfast and dinner, and loved it! Delicious food, generous portions and lovely, friendly staff. A really welcoming atmosphere and definitely one of the highlights of our stay. We will definitely be returning, highly recommend! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

08/09/2026: The most equisite meal we have ever had. Everything perfection. Still in awe at the standard. We were celebrating our 25th Wedding Anniversary and this was literally the perfect meal. Make it your mission to dine here.

05/09/2026: We went to celebrate a special occasion and the restaurant did not disappoint in any way! As soon as we arrived, we were greeted with sourdough and brown grain bread; they had a set menu that I highly recommend! Let's start with the starters: we chose the croquette with tomatoes (veg), I can't put it into words, creamy, flavorful, and comforting, wonderful 10/10. For the main course, we ordered the beef, which came at exactly the temperature we chose, and my husband was very happy with his choice. I asked for the vegetarian option, which wasn't on the menu; I asked the waiter, and that night we were served spinach tortellini with zucchini and shallots – an incredible mix of flavors! For dessert, I ordered a raspberry soufflé with pistachio ice cream, and my husband went for chocolate mousse. I think it's important to mention that the portions aren't absurdly large, but they are very filling! We ordered carrot sides, which are great for sharing. We couldn't finish everything, unfortunately, but it was very good. It was our first time there, and it was amazing. The wine list is very diverse and extremely affordable. I highly recommend going there!

28/09/2026: Absolutely amazing food served here. Staff are very friendly and welcoming. Great value for money. The desert are also so yummy. You can sit in side or at the moment outdoors. I think you can also reserve a table. It has a couple of steps into it so might be a little bit tricky for wheelchair users. They do not encourage stag parties.

15/09/2026: What a wonderful welcome! The place was clean, cozy, and well-organized, and the service was incredibly friendly and attentive. I ordered the famous Irish stew, and it certainly didn't disappoint….it was absolutely delicious! A very pleasant experience.

14/09/2026: During our stay in Dublin, we ate at the 1837 Bar & Brasserie in the Guinness Storehouse – and to be honest, we weren't expecting such good food at such a tourist attraction. I had the prawns on sourdough toast with smoked lemon, samphire, Dublin Bay prawns, and garlic butter, served with mushy peas and seaweed salted fries. I also had the house salad and mushroom potato. And what can I say? It was absolutely delicious. The prawns were superb, the mushy peas wonderfully creamy, and the salad was a real surprise. Very fresh with a pleasantly subtle dressing – just enough so that the ingredients could still taste of something and not just the dressing. I especially loved the open kitchen in the middle of the restaurant. You can watch the chefs at work, and it makes the whole place feel anything but like your typical touristy restaurant. A definite recommendation from me. If you're already at the Guinness Storehouse, I would definitely recommend eating here.

18/05/2026: Stayed here with my parents to celebrate my mother's 80th birthday. The team couldn't do enough for them, everyone was so friendly and helpful. Ross carried all their luggage from the car to their room - both parents have walking sticks. Leanne was also a smiling helpful lady. Karen our waitress had such a lovely way with her and kept the one liners coming which charmed my parents. They love the banter! The rooms were fantastic, comfortable, well appointed and recently refurbished. The supervisor at breakfast was excellent too, we didn't catch his name but he was another real asset. We caught him about to head out to the car with my parents luggage in the rain, just stopped him in time - we had coats he didn't! This has got to be the friendliest hotel in ireland! Well done everyone, you aced the customer journey 👏🏻

14/08/2026: Our visit to Dungarvan was excellent, and our lunch (fish dish and carrot cake/lemon pie) was delicious and plentiful. The welcome and service were very pleasant, provided by attentive staff. We highly recommend this restaurant.

Absolutely delicious, prompt service, fresh as the day is long and served with good cheer and friendly banter especially if you are lucky enough to be served by Lindsey who I am guessing is the manager such is her friendliness and efficiency....she drives it like she owns it!!....if I had a restuarant I'd come for her to take the lead ....i'll be back again soon. Top of the range
