05/09/2026: We went to celebrate a special occasion and the restaurant did not disappoint in any way! As soon as we arrived, we were greeted with sourdough and brown grain bread; they had a set menu that I highly recommend! Let's start with the starters: we chose the croquette with tomatoes (veg), I can't put it into words, creamy, flavorful, and comforting, wonderful 10/10. For the main course, we ordered the beef, which came at exactly the temperature we chose, and my husband was very happy with his choice. I asked for the vegetarian option, which wasn't on the menu; I asked the waiter, and that night we were served spinach tortellini with zucchini and shallots – an incredible mix of flavors! For dessert, I ordered a raspberry soufflé with pistachio ice cream, and my husband went for chocolate mousse. I think it's important to mention that the portions aren't absurdly large, but they are very filling! We ordered carrot sides, which are great for sharing. We couldn't finish everything, unfortunately, but it was very good. It was our first time there, and it was amazing. The wine list is very diverse and extremely affordable. I highly recommend going there!

05/08/2026: Amazing place to visit. The food was amazing and the portions were huge. So visit when hungry, the atmosphere of the pub was great lots of friendly people to have a chat to. You go there and make so many friends that were previously strangers.

01/08/2026: The Shamrock in Dungarvan is a must go when visiting the town. We visited on a couple of occasions one for a The Full Irish Breakfasts and another visit for lunch. Incredible friendly staff where no ask is too much, huge breakfast portions with lashings of toast and butter. Both meat eaters and vegetarians were happy at our table with the selection. Highly recommended. Thanks Una and the team.

27/08/2026: 5/5. Stopped into 1837 Bar & Brasserie at the Guinness Storehouse and went for the pork belly from the Land menu, paired with a West Indies Porter. The pork belly was excellent — exactly the kind of rich, hearty dish you want alongside a darker beer. The West Indies Porter was a great match and probably made the meal for me. Plenty of flavour without overpowering the food, and a much more interesting pairing than simply going for the standard Guinness. Considering you’re eating inside one of Dublin’s biggest tourist attractions, I wasn’t necessarily expecting the food to be a highlight, but this absolutely delivered. Pork belly and a West Indies Porter. Hard to fault that combination. Service was prompt with a nice window view.

31/07/2026: Had a great few hours here trying all kinds of Irish whiskeys we had never heard of. Adam and Lee were both delightful bartenders. Great recommendations and also honest un-recommendations. We will be back!

25/04/2026: Delicious food, very attentive and friendly people. Highly recommended. We could hardly choose from so many tasty things! We enjoyed ourselves immensely. The atmosphere in the restaurant is amazing.

09/04/2026: Only the (limited?) bar food menu was available at 3:30 PM; still a good selection of dishes. The Caesar Salad and Fish and Chips were excellent.

14/08/2026: Our visit to Dungarvan was excellent, and our lunch (fish dish and carrot cake/lemon pie) was delicious and plentiful. The welcome and service were very pleasant, provided by attentive staff. We highly recommend this restaurant.

15/08/2026: Prime steak rare is served cold and full of nerves. Fish taste like salt. Pubs looks great but that's all.

09/08/2026: A great location in Waterford in a historic building. There's a lovely rooftop terrace with views of the river. The food and service is great.

19/05/2026: Luggage service was provided at check-in and check-out. Changing rooms was no problem, as we were unable to use the stairs due to mobility issues. Breakfast was excellent and the service throughout was superb. Best regards, Beate and Marie

18/05/2026: Stayed here with my parents to celebrate my mother's 80th birthday. The team couldn't do enough for them, everyone was so friendly and helpful. Ross carried all their luggage from the car to their room - both parents have walking sticks. Leanne was also a smiling helpful lady. Karen our waitress had such a lovely way with her and kept the one liners coming which charmed my parents. They love the banter! The rooms were fantastic, comfortable, well appointed and recently refurbished. The supervisor at breakfast was excellent too, we didn't catch his name but he was another real asset. We caught him about to head out to the car with my parents luggage in the rain, just stopped him in time - we had coats he didn't! This has got to be the friendliest hotel in ireland! Well done everyone, you aced the customer journey 👏🏻
