13/11/2024: I visited this restaurant three times in the past week, having the same meal each time. First was in the afternoon at 2:30pm on Wednesday, food was fine, not much taste but cooked properly. Latte was lovely, I had two of those. Second time was the next day, Thursday, 1:30pm. The food on this day was lovely, flavorsome and cooked really well. Again a lovely latte. Third time was yesterday morning at 9:45am. The food, Eggs Avo was not nice at all. It was bland. The mushroom was cold. The latte was lovely. Great consistency with the coffee. However I have been sick since I came home after that meal. Stomach upset and other unpleasant effects. I am still sick this morning. My husband also feels unwell after his Big Sister fry up. It's such a shame that the food quality and preparation are not consistent as the service here is very good. Unfortunately we will not be returning here

21/09/2024: This place is an absolute gem. Atmosphere is always great and the food is consistently excellent. Eaten here countless times and never had anything less than a brilliant experience.

14/09/2024: Some restaurants serve good food and others have great decor or good service. But the Pier Cafe is blessed with all tree bound together by an amazing ambiance. We had a wonderful dining experience here with great food and attentive service. There's such a buzz here, it's great. Sarah, front of house, expertly makes the restaurant run like clockwork and is so personable. We had the prawn Dahl and duck salad for starters followed by entrecôte steak and beef ribs. Faultless. It's really great value for money and a most memorable experience.

09/11/2024: What a local gem it is! The food from the restaurant is fresh, delicious and beautifully presented. The shop sells great quality veggies and different foods. It is a lovely spot to go for coffee and cake to.

07/10/2024: Fairly good service with some nice local dishes featured on the menu. The beef and guineas stew was watery and lacked flavour and the gammon was extremely salty. The boxty and applesauce served with the gammon was a nice tough but I didn’t like how the gammon was served in a deep fried crust - it felt unnecessarily heavy.

29/10/2024: Superior scones and coffee. Scones were warm and had that freshly baked fluffy texture but with a satisfying exterior crunch + came with jam, butter and cream. All staff were incredibly friendly

01/12/2024: I recently stopped here for some dinner on a Friday evening after work. It was not too busy, a nice crowd inside. The food was so good. I had chicken fillet burger, chips and salad and a can of coke to drink. It was excellent, the burger was so tasty and tender, chips good too. Because the meal was so good, I then decided to have a dessert, chocolate orange cheesecake with ice cream (vanilla) and cream with a cup of tea. It certainly didn't disappoint, absolutely delicious and not too heavy either. I would highly recommend this place. Plenty of parking available, spacious inside, staff friendly, prices have increased but everywhere now the same. I will certainly be back!

30/11/2024: Ordered fish and chips.. half cooked batter and half cooked chips. My partner ordered chicken curry with greasy poppadom on the side and reheated rice. Says fine food on the bar outside.... far from it. Very poor.

16/12/2024: I could not fault our Christmas lunch out with a group from Rehabcare in Dooley's Dock Bar. From the email correspondence with Orla to the service on the day, the staff could not have done more for our group. They were very accommodating regarding food allergies and restricted diets. Would highly recommend this hotel bar to dine in.

14/10/2024: The Latch in Tallow is a one off and great experience. If you were alive 30/40 years ago the food was wholesome and great value for money, this is the Latch today. The staff and owners are so lovely to deal with but the rumour that it may close at Christmas I urge you to go and have their food.

21/10/2024: I can't praise the Raglan Road restaurant and bar enough. The food was excellent, delicious, I would drive down to Tramore just to eat there. It was most definitely one of the best meals we even had. There were four of us, and we were all delighted with the food. The staff were very attentive and couldn't do enough for us. We will definitely be back. 10/10 🤩
