07/05/2025: hotel rooms are unfortunately like being over a nightclub. A very loud band plays from about 9 and after that is dj music until the middle of the night. The floor was actually vibrating. Not only does it make it difficult to sleep, it's not possible to unwind and relax in your room in the evenings, it's disgraceful they don't let customers know when you book the room. The place is advertised as a peaceful getaway. We let the receptionist know the first night and were assured that the music would end at 11 the following night, which did not happen.

05/04/2025: Location - it doesn't get much better! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Service - friendly and attentive. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐The menu - in these days, which are difficult for the hospitality industry, the somewhat short menu is understandable. ⭐⭐⭐ The prices - a tad expensive! ⭐⭐⭐The Food - ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

24/04/2025: Unfortunately, my chicken breast inside my chicken burger was undercooked for my liking. I noticed some blood inside the middle of the chicken and pointed it out to the waitress who then took it back into the kitchen only to return and told me that the chef said its just the veining in the chicken. I was gobsmacked with this comment! I think the waitress noticed the shock on my face!. I did not eat the chicken and I didnt want to cause a scene as the restaurant was busy. However, when I went to the till the owner completely blanked me. I go to the Interlude quite regular so I was very disappointed. I was charged for this meal, no-one asked about the if we enjoyed our meals, etc. Never had this experience before when the waitress is talking for the chef.

02/04/2025: It was very busy but they managed to get us a table. The staff was really nice and the food was great! I had the goats cheese tartlet it was gorgeous and the small portion with a side of fries was pretty filling. The desserts are to die for!

11/05/2025: FOOD DELIVERED FAST 😃 so it’s great if you have small kids. Staff very friendly and kind. We sat out the back and got to enjoy the views. Would return

02/05/2025: We had a great time at Saratoga. We we're welcome with great stories of this place. Live Irish music and entertainment. Awesome drinks and laughter. We're all singing together with the musicians. Their not big bands, but they know how to capture their guests attention. Bit of Irish dancing lessons too.

14/09/2024: Some restaurants serve good food and others have great decor or good service. But the Pier Cafe is blessed with all tree bound together by an amazing ambiance. We had a wonderful dining experience here with great food and attentive service. There's such a buzz here, it's great. Sarah, front of house, expertly makes the restaurant run like clockwork and is so personable. We had the prawn Dahl and duck salad for starters followed by entrecôte steak and beef ribs. Faultless. It's really great value for money and a most memorable experience.

18/04/2025: Great lunch So I ordered panini with chips for lunch. It was about €11/12 but my goodness it was worth every cent. If you can see my photos you'll see what I mean - a seriously full plate! 2 packed and very tasty paninis, a nice portion of chips, good portions of coleslaw and potato salad (both delicious), some rice, and a helping of salad too. My friend got a roll and he was very impressed too. There's no empty plate here upon service. Great food, great value and great taste and the ladies who work there are nice - would definitely return again. Even if the toilets upstairs seriously need some improvement. Just the one toilet, the light doesn't work so if you need to be private and close the door you're sitting in the dark. Otherwise you're exposed to any passers by. Lucky them! And the chef sometimes sits at the front ... just sitting there looking grumpy. Oh well, if he continues making food that good I'm not going to complain.

17/05/2025: We had an amazing experience at this restaurant. The service was warm and attentive. The atmosphere charming and elegant. But most importantly the food was phenomenal! I had the best duck I have ever tasted. Everything was delicious down to the Thomas Barton wine and the cocktails. This place is an absolute gem!

11/05/2025: Dinner for 2, Fillet Steak @ €49.50 & Cod @ €29.50, bottle of sauvignon blanc €32.50. Requested well done steak. It was almost medium-rare and arrived sliced in 2. Sent it back and it came back well done after 10 mins with fresh veg and roast potato. Meanwhile I continued with my cod which was tasty. Rhubarb crumble, €12.50, was recommended by waitress, it was average. Mentioned our disappointment about the steak to the owner while paying the bill, she apologised but offered no discount. Having paid €49.50 for the steak, you would expect it to be cooked as ordered - I was quite annoyed! Food is very good but overpriced.

20/04/2025: Had our wedding here, dealt with Maurice from the beginning and he made everything so calm and easy it was brilliant! Very helpful and attentive to any requests made! On the day everything was laid out beautifully and everything we asked for was given and more. The staff on the day were so attentive also and maid sure everyone was well looked after! The food served was absolutely beautiful!! Soup was the best soup I’ve ever had and it was a vegetable! Every person who had it said the same!! The beef was melt in the mouth and the fish just fell apart beautifully! I would recommend this venue to anyone considering a wedding with a difference! The views for photos on the balcony area are out of this world!! Make the enquiry at least you won’t regret it!!! 🩷

01/05/2025: Great time when we have lunch up high with a bird's eye view of Dublin. The staff is very friendly and the cuisine is authentic. A real moment of relaxation at the end of the Guinness visit. I took a piece of matured meat with perfectly respected cooking and real flavors in the accompaniment of the onion confit with guiness.

12/05/2025: Fantastic dinner and service. From the minute we walked in, the team did not disappoint. Immediately approached and shown to a table. The bar staff were great and service was quick. Ordered from the special menu on the board which had plenty of choice. Turkey and ham for the parents, perfect portion sizes, husband lamb - thick slices, although he would have preferred the meat to be a little pinker, that’s his preference. He thoroughly enjoyed. Now to bacon, cabbage and spuds with white sauce, my favourite dinner when I return home to Ireland. I have to say they hit the spot perfectly. Thick slices of the boiled bacon, plenty of spuds and cabbage. All ordered pudding and again portions were generous. The girls looked after our table very well and at the same time not in our faces. I highly recommend a trip out for dinner/lunch you won’t be disappointed

27/04/2025: The staff were lovely but the food was terrible. We got a club sandwich and a wrap and all the chicken on both was greasy. The wrap was likewise greasy and discoloured looked like it was fried in oil. The toilets were also disgusting.

05/05/2025: I recently went here for dinner. I was hoping for some lovely fish and chips. When we had arrived at 6:30 there was barely any options for fish left except scampi. I got the scampi and my partner had to settle for goujons. We were extremely disappointed when we received our order as only two goujons came with the “meal” and a few chips. I don’t think this is good enough when you are charging almost €8 for it. A portion of chips is €4 and had more in it than the goujon “meal”. Very disappointing. The scampi was okay but was very expensive for the amount of food received as it was €14.50. Overall I wouldn’t go back and would advise others to not also.

05/05/2025: Not great to be honest. Was hoping for better. I got a sloppy under-cooked burger and average chipper chips. Kids chicken coupons were decent enough.

19/05/2025: A classic hotel, a bit pricey but it's ireland. Staff was friendly so nothing to complain about, except for a better method to get into the hotel later at night. The beds are kinda short and not too confortable.

14/05/2025: Fantastic location. Great staff. Very clean and tidy all over. food was great. Very nice atmosphere
