03/07/2025: Rib roast 17:50 per portion. 2 of us ordered this. To say it was inedible is an understatement. Full of fat and tough as a boot The veg was like there was a film of grease on them Left most of it and just left. I heard its changed hands in the past year. It shows !!! Definitely wont be going there again

29/06/2025: O'Donnacha's Bar Kilmeaden O’Donnachas has ample parking around the rear of the premises, and a back door which is easily wheelchair accessible. It was, and still is a Traditional Irish Pub. It has a lovely feel to it, and you can tell long before it became a foodhouse, it was a genuine traditional local pub. Much of the character and decor of the building remains providing a cosy pub grub atmosphere where one could anticipate a good hearty meal, and a nice cold pint. Seemed quiet when we were there, but not overally quiet, we were in after the lunchtime rush, and there was a nice few customers enjoying their meals, which gave an overall impression of a place that has a loyal and regular customer base. Despite it being an older style pub, it was spotless inside, and despite some of the tables looking a bit worn with age, and use, (which is perfectly acceptable given the setting) they were spotlessly cleaned and bussed immediately when customers left. Service was prompt and efficient. Upon aerial we were greeted by a nice young male staff member who provided us with menu’s and although he was immediately going to direct us to a seat, as he was about to do so,he left it to us to decide, as the place was not too busy, and there was no need to seat customers in particular spaces. When placing an order, an enquiry was made if a slight change could be made, and to his credit, he immediately said that he did not know, as he had not been working there too long, but would check, which he did promptly and returned confirming there was no problem. Everybody is new to their job at one point and dont always know everything, and I always admire those that openly admit that. They are humans not personal servants. I ordered a chicken Burger, which as you can see from the picture, was perfection on a plate. The chicken was well cooked with a deliciously crunchy coating, when you bit into it half the contents didnt fall out of the far side of the bun, all served with a portion of hand cut chips, and side salad. Zero complaints here about the food Toilets were small but adequate, and although the general feeling of this place is now more foodhouse than pub, the toilets definitely come from the time it was solely a pub.

22/07/2025: Stopped here both days while in Tramore. Great welcome, lovely food and atmosphere. Guinness filled brown bread was fabulous.

15/07/2025: Called in here today after a funeral, 11 of us hopeful to be seated. Wonderful staff pulled together tables for us and the service and food was outstanding. It was just what we needed. We will definitely be back

14/07/2025: I just went to the restaurant patio. My server Melina never came back after taking my order (2 others brought my drink and app). I would have ordered more food and another drink. I left earlier than planned. I gave her some advice and her response was that there were other servers!

14/07/2025: This place was wonderful from the minute we walked through the door. We had lunch in the garden and it was very tasty and well presented. Staff were fantastic. Price was just right.

08/07/2025: Was here in june on a Saturday evening for a family event. The place was fully booked. One person waiting tables stated my sister didn't order what she ordered,turns out the waitress had my mothers order and tried to persuade my sister that was her order . My childs order was asked to be brought out first ahead of our food to keep her quiet all our food came no sign of her food we had to request more potaotoe as there was very little came for all the adults there . The same thing happened with childs dessert it was forgotten Honestly I was disappointed overall for what your paying i expected better.

20/07/2025: Food was not good at all, presentation was awful and extremely overpriced based on the quality of it. We ordered a burger that supposedly came with wedges, but we were given fries taken out of the freezer. We complained and we then got wedges that essentially were baked potatoes with no condiment at all. The burger itself was falling apart, so it seems the bread was not only not fresh but not warmed properly. The chicken wings we ordered were poorly prepared, it looked like they just sprinkled curry powdered and poured a sauce on the side, that was jellied due to being stored for a long time in the fridge. I genuinely thought we had ordered a fish soup so I was shocked when they told me it was actually a fish pie! Food was OK, for freezer oven-ready/make-at-home type of meal, but unacceptable when each meal is above 17€! We asked for a hot chocolate for takeaway but they didn't even have disposable cups. They tried to sell us "reusable cups" for 2€!

18/07/2025: 3 of us arrived without a booking met by a lovely woman (the owner i think) who couldnt have been more welcoming. Full of locals. Atmosphere is warm everyone clearly loves their job. We had chicken wings to start catch of the day mussels and a burger. Food was so fresh and tasty favourite being catch of the day. To finish we had creme burelle choclate fudge cake and roulade. Bill was €100 and that included a large glass of wine. Very resonable and portions are huge. Unfortunatley we go home tommorow otherwise we would have come back. Thank you so much.

18/07/2025: I'm with a tour group for my first time in Ireland. We will be staying at Dooley's Hotel tomorrow evening. I'm looking forward to it. It sounds like great reviews. Especially comfortable bed after riding the gate one tour bus so much.

16/06/2025: Fabulously tasty fish and chips. Highly recommend their Haddock - such flavour and so filling. Lots of other items on menu too. Food was placed into a box, wrapped and sealed with stickers. Easy to unwrap. Box contained a large and small piece of beautiful haddock in crispy batter, accompanied by chips and sides of mushy peas, tartar sauce and a wedge of fresh lemon. Restaurant quality food in a take away is how I’d describe it. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Once upon a time, Eunice Power (founder) set out to elevate the humble chipper and by this experience I would say it is mission accomplished, Eunice. To describe this place as a chipper actually does it a disservice. Although the place is small, it is possible to eat in, however it is at a breakfast bar type arrangement. Condiments are available and there’s even somewhere to wash hands after your meal. Definitely a step above the usual chipper. I will definitely be back for more. Saw scampi on the menu last time so I’ll be having some of that please!

13/06/2025: Awesome little place. I’m from Texas and use to spicy and typical American/Tex-Mex food and thus have been having a hard time adjusting to Irelands food culture. This place was the first location that was actually good and I really enjoyed their food and service. The staff were really kind and interacted with us rather than ignoring us like some other locations have. This is a nice spot if you’re worn out from trying to find some decent food that matches what’s typical from the states.

10/04/2025: The Latch has an excellent Chicken Curry that is nice sweet and tangy. It's in a quiet town with a nice relaxed atmosphere.
