25/09/2025: The atmosphere on a Tuesday mid-day was lovely. You can tell this is a busy but we'll organised restaurant. I was impressed with the cleanliness. The menu and the staff. When u order u get asked for allergens, this is brilliant 👏 The coffee came first. The male staff was a lovely young man and was very polite. Then the food. Served by a beautiful lady who seemed to be the owner. She is chatty and kind and takes pride in her food. It was beautiful and ill come again. Loved the music and environment. Perfect for a solo food date. Ill return.

26/08/2025: My husband and I came here after a few locals told us this was the place to be. The beer was cold and the service with a smile was great. The food wasn’t amazing- very standard pub fair but it was a cool place and very popular. We’ll back- maybe not for dinner but to hang out and drink. Try not to get lost

05/08/2025: The most amazing service and staff. They cater to everyone and even offer smaller portions which is amazing. Food is amazing and price is very reasonable. Serious wouldn't go past it even for a coffee and scone well worth a visit.

03/07/2025: Rib roast 17:50 per portion. 2 of us ordered this. To say it was inedible is an understatement. Full of fat and tough as a boot The veg was like there was a film of grease on them Left most of it and just left. I heard its changed hands in the past year. It shows !!! Definitely wont be going there again

27/08/2025: I caught them on a bad day this time. No haddock, ling was nice but small, chips were warm, not hot and they had run out of Pelegrino lemon drink. My previous visit was 5 star for everything

13/08/2025: Above and beyond for sure. If you find yourself in Dunmore Ireland, find the Strand. After walking from the cruise tender port through the town, we had lunch which was great. BUT because of my walking limitation, we found that we could not get back to the tender. PAUL, the manager, dropped everything and drove us back in his personal car and would only take a THANK YOU for his kindness. I’ve never have experienced anything like this…say hello to Paul when you get there. He is THE BEST EVER! 🍀

27/08/2025: I couldn’t recommend a better restaurant. The atmosphere was superb, along with the service. Not once did we have to call anyone over or struggle to find staff. Staff were extremely attentive and continually checked in. From starter to dessert the food was amazing. Not only does it taste good but the quality is evident throughout. The only thing I regret is sharing my food.

17/09/2025: Absolutely amazing meal. Staff were so incredibly friendly, warm and engaging. Enjoyed every single element of every dish we had. Starters: Leek and Potato Soup & Deep Fried Brie Mains: Fillet Steak with Pepper Sauce & Grille Whole Lobster Dessert: Banoffi Pie & Apple Tart So delicious! Great way to round off our Mini Moon!

11/09/2025: Wow ,service is amazing .restaurant has lovely homely feel.Food blew us away ! Highly recommend.nicest meal I have had in a long time !! Just amazing .cannot wait to return Soup with crunchy fresh bread is simple and so tasty! The glazed ham and cabbage was best I have ever tried .Chocolant fondant desert was rich and Luxurious .Cannot fault the staff or food

07/09/2025: Excellent food and service. A great range of veggie, vegan and meaty dishes. The staff are always excellent. I go here regularly with work and being the kids at weekends.

22/08/2025: Excellent value breakfast, all locally sourced quality produce, all served with a cup of tea or coffee ☕️. Well worth a visit .

19/08/2025: Came in for lunch today. I ordered the tomato soup. It was inedible. It was like a half a container of herbs hard been poured into a tin of tomato’s. The chips that were served with the other meals were old chips refried and the battered fish was dripping in oil. I paid for the meal. We weren’t even asked if everything was ok. Poor service too

28/08/2025: We struggle to find restaurants that have excellent service to make us comfortable with regards to our allergies and this restaurant was fantastic. Our server was one of the best we had in Ireland. I wish I could name her for management but she did mention studying politics at uni. She needs a raise;)

13/09/2025: Sometimes the Nurturer needs nurturing. And boy did I pick the right place. Mary, Ina and staff gave me the warmest welcome and went above and beyond to make sure I had a lovely stay. I'd like to say it was home from home, but home was never like this ! The food was amazing. They didn’t skimp on quality, only the best of ingredients and plenty of. The fry was amazing in the morning. The rooms are lovely and homely, with extra amenities, water, tissues, shampoo, gel, big fluffy towels etc and most importantly with a big JACUSSI bath in each!! Omg I didn't realise the jets could be that strong and effective. My aching muscles thank you Hanoras Cottage. Left there so relaxed and refreshed and ready to face the world/kids again. Can't praise this place highly enough. Contact them for a break. Mention my review if you like. They have great rates. You deserve it.
