26/09/2026: Delicious Eggs Benedict, but the smallest portion sizes and highest price I've ever been served/charged for this favourite and often ordered dish. Portion has physically shrunk in size since last visit. In general, extremely overpriced across the board, nothing on the entire menu is fairly priced. Portions getting smaller and having such high prices doesn't make me want to come back.
Coffee is top shelf though.
24/09/2026: Paying €4.95 for a basic, plain Croissant that had been sitting out for hours and was bone dry is in simple words “absolute robbery”. In London, we were paying £3.80 at top artisan bakeries for huge, freshly baked ones. This place is insanely overpriced!

Old House Restaurant

08/05/2026: We were celebrating today. We choose Old House by an accident. I hope God gives me more accidents like that. Food? Absolutely divine. We had salmon and beef cheek. Salmon, was made to perfection well seasoned and lovely sides. Beef cheek was absolutely mouth watering. Delicious just delicious. For the dessert we had sticky toffee pudding(whoever loves sweet go for it blindly) and chocolate brownie both desserts served with ice cream on the side. Our waiter ( and I do apologise for not remembering the name- truly) was the most kind and cheery person. A true gem to the place. Well done. Will definitely come back and recommend. Good spot in Mullingar to eat, drink and relax!
Ps. Unfortunately I only have the picture of the pudding as everything was so good it disappeared faster than I could snap a shot!

O'Hehirs Bakery & Cafe

11/05/2026: I order my daughter communion cake from here. It was absolutely beautiful. So tasty and fresh. The service was fantastic. I couldn't recommend this place for cakes enough.
