04/12/2025: Very disappointed with the new version of scampi. All 4 of us ordered it remembering the previous occasions we enjoyed. very hard bread crust coating, totally overdone. Couldn't eat mine, please use a more tender tempura style coating.
09/11/2025: The Grove is a hidden treasure. Food is reliably good, the staff are friendly and helpful and the music on Thursday nights adds to the atmosphere. Worth a visit 😊

29/12/2025: Food was good and staff was friendly. The only issue was an unannounced service charge of 12%. I would pay it happily if I knew about this from the beginning not until when they bring the bill.

12/01/2026: The location is great, but unfortunately everything else was disappointing.
As soon as we walked in, a woman who appeared to be the owner was sitting at the table closest to the entrance doing paperwork. She was speaking very loudly on the phone, which completely ruined the atmosphere.
The staff were actually very nice, which was the only positive part of the experience.
I ordered the fish and chips, and it was the worst I’ve ever had. The fish was overcooked and hard, and the portion itself was very small. It felt like they were trying to hide the lack of fish with an excessive amount of batter.
I wouldn’t recommend this place at all.
20/11/2025: The chicken noodle soup is so bland, it really shouldn’t be on the menu.
