The best restaurantsof italian in Kilkenny

30/12/2024: Our first time here, but we'll be back. All our meals were excellent, and even a coeliac vegetarian didn't ruffle any feathers!

15/12/2024: On arrival my friend told the waiter about her tomato allergy and he said “why would you come to an Italian restaurant if you can’t eat tomatoes”. It was super rude and unnecessary since there were many options for her on the menu. Atmosphere, wine and the rest of the staff were lovely, fried calamari was delicious, pasta was okay and unfortunately the tiramisu, although being my favorite dessert, I struggled to eat as it didn’t taste authentic and tasted like it’s made offsite.

14/01/2025: Me and my boyfriend ordered for takeaway as we had heard great things about the place. We are only in Kilkenny for two nights and wanted somewhere nice so chose this restaurant. To say we are disappointed is an understatement, it was some of the worst Italian food we have ever had. We ordered spaghetti carbonara, a ham and pepperoni pizza and a large garlic bread. The carbonara was an absolute joke. It was hot to be fair but mushy, bland and completely overcooked. The pancetta wasn’t cooked through and was rubbery. The pizza was okay but again the ham was inedible and the topping completely fell off the pizza as we went to eat it. Don’t even get me started on the garlic bread. There was a strong taste of metal almost off it and the dough wasn’t cooked all the way through. To say we’re disappointed is an understatement. I get that it’s a busy restaurant and sometimes takeaway orders aren’t always the same as the food if we were dining in there but this is an absolute joke.
