06/04/2026: We’ve visited Ichigo Ichie a few times now, including when it held a Michelin star, and it has always been outstanding.
Food is consistently excellent—full of flavour and beautifully executed. Service is genuinely some of the best we’ve experienced, attentive without being over the top.
The atmosphere is calm and intimate, perfect for a relaxed evening.
Every visit has been great, and it’s one of those places we’re always excited to come back to.
22/03/2026: Cod was fantastic. Melt in the mouth. The signature dashi broth over the rice and salmon is seriously tasty. Asahi is crisp. A taste of the land of the rising sun on leeside. The waiters were great, particularly Pierre who served our table!

20/04/2026: My daughter and I had lunch at this restaurant and unfortunately the experience was very poor. We ordered a large sushi platter, and the fish was far from fresh. The seaweed was also soggy and unappetising.
Service was equally disappointing. We were not even provided with plates and had to take them from another table ourselves. In order to place our order, I even had to go out to the balcony area because the staff appeared to be understaffed and difficult to reach.
It was noticeable that hot food seemed to be more popular, although I cannot comment on its quality. Based on our experience, however, this may be for a reason.
Overall, it was a very disappointing visit and we will not be returning.
29/03/2026: Always a favourite. Great sushi. Simple as that. Sorry to see the place go in town but the restaurant in beacon quarter is worth the spin out for great food and service

16/05/2025: The server is really friendly and nice but the sushi was dry and the tuna was off, the rice was sticky and old. The miso soup was tasteless. Unfortunately if they do not improve their products, it's going to close because the sushi made me feel unwell. A couple of years ago the sushi here used to be very good. The prices do not justify the products.

09/04/2026: I had a wonderful first experience at Niko Japanese Restaurant, and it definitely won’t be my last. Located right in the heart of Drogheda town, it’s a fantastic spot if you’re looking for authentic Japanese cuisine in a central and convenient location.
The restaurant has a lovely dining atmosphere — clean, stylish, and true to a traditional Japanese feel, which really adds to the overall experience. The food was beautifully presented, fresh, and full of authentic flavour. You can really tell that care goes into every dish.
What made the visit even better was the service. The staff were welcoming, attentive, and professional throughout, making the whole experience feel smooth and enjoyable from start to finish.
The only small downside is that parking nearby can be a little tricky, especially during busy times, but once you’re there, it’s absolutely worth it.
Overall, Niko Japanese Restaurant is a great addition to Drogheda town. If you enjoy quality Japanese food, great service, and a lovely dine-in experience, this place is definitely worth trying. Highly recommended.
09/04/2026: Had to edit cause they fixed the issue.
Food is amazing. So tasty no matter what you order. However we are always waiting well over an hour for our food, even when we ordered extra early it still arrived late. Off putting.
3 years later and it will be the last time il ever be ordering or suggesting this place to people. Waiting for 1 hour 50 minutes is so insane. They say an hour, cool I can put up with that almost 2hours after a 12 hour shift. Never again.

Visitando Dublín desde Canadá para una reunión de clase Uni 2004 y quería llevar a nuestro hijo de 17 años a un viejo favorito...
Entró en Wagamama en la calle South King. por capricho y ¡TAN contentos de haberlo hecho!
Fue diagnosticado con enfermedad celíaca hace un año, así que todavía estamos un poco ansiosos al comer fuera. El personal era fantástico ... explicaron con entusiasmo las opciones disponibles sin gluten para él. La comida era 100% deliciosa como se recuerda.
Kudos al gerente, servidores y chefs que hicieron esta noche especial para nosotros! 🙏❤️
14/08/2024: Bueno, almuerzo pero demasiado ocupado personal. Estaban apurados y nos trajeron de nuevo órdenes equivocadas. Olvidaron preguntarnos sobre aperitivos y bebidas. Muy pocos camareros y demasiado tiempo para hacer cola a pesar de las mesas vacías

05/03/2025: We ordered from Naas in February for collection and they forgot an item (only prawn crackers but still really wanted them for with our meal). We drove 15 mins down 15 mins home to get them and it was sh*t but they were very apologetics and said they would add 20 euro to our account as we order regular enough every other week. Called today less than 2 weeks later and when I said about the credit they said no they would just give us free prawn crackers now. I said it wasn’t the prawn crackers it was the 30 mins drive down and back and my ruined meal the previous time. I should have got them to replace the whole meal at the time but was trying to be nice about it. Will not be ordering again very poor customer service. They have lost a regular customer.

21/12/2024: Myself and one of my friends had the teriyaki chicken don and it tasted so good. The chicken was marinated and the rice mixed with the sauce was heavenly and a great mix of savoury and sweet. The egg was chopped up very finely and had a soft texture and the green beans had a very refreshing flavour and I think it was blanched so it had a very refreshing crunch to it! Some of the juices sunk down to the bottom of the bowl and it was such a sweet and delicious flavour.
I would say we waited quite a while but there was only one cook when we went so it made sense. The inside is decorated really well and the atmosphere felt really welcoming. My other friend had the tempura sushi roll and miso soup and she really enjoyed it.
Price wise, you are definitely getting more than what you paid for. I've paid more in other restaurants for less amounts of food. I paid €18 for the teriyaki chicken don and I would definitely say I got my money's worth.
The wait was like 40 minutes for 3 people and it was quite empty, so if you are on a tight schedule you might not want to go, but I personally don't mind waiting 40 minutes for a meal.
10/10 I would really recommend to go and I'm definitely going again!! 🤤🤤🙏🙏

06/07/2024: Nos encanta el sushi Taro. Es nuestra comida favorita. Todavía tenemos que visitar el restaurante en sí, pero si es tan bueno como la comida para llevar diría que es increíble. Los panecillos de tempura California son una prueba obligada - tan frescos, grandes porciones y tan delicioso. Me encanta la ensalada de tofu de algas de aguacate y si te gusta la comida fría y caliente juntos es un acompañamiento increíble para el pollo Katsu. Las cajas dobladas tienen tan buena relación calidad-precio y las verduras tempura para empezar son una necesidad!
