23/09/2025: Just love it! The place is beautiful, the staff it was really nice, and the food it was really tasty and delicious, I recommend the Red thai curry. Also it was pretty clean☺️

03/11/2025: I've eaten in Tomodachi many times and have always loved it: it's by far the best Japanese in Galway. Unfortunately there's a but. We never felt that it was good value for money, at least in terms of quantity, but it wasn't too blatant. However over the last year it's become worse and worse. On our last and sadly final visit we ordered Edamame, pork gyoza, a rainbow roll and a chicken and prawn yakiudon. The gyoza and roll weren't generous but were fine. As for the other dishes... The edamame consisted of a tiny pile of maybe 15 to 20 bean pods. It would have fit easily in my closed palm. The yakiudon had 6 or 7 thumb-tip sized pieces of chicken (I'm including the fatty bits) and 4, FOUR, prawns. I called this to the attention of the person I guessed to be the senior waiter only to have her respond very politely and overly sympathetically, in what I took to be a genuine attempt to mollify us. She apologised for the disappointment and explained about the increasing costs. We're all aware of the crisis but the quantities mentioned above are just flatly insulting. With 1 Asahi, a hot sake and a yuzu tea it came to €110. 10% service charge included and no attempt to address my complaint. €110 for a small, quick meal for two. Sorry Tomodachi, we won't be back at those prices.

02/11/2025: Absolutely amazing. Food is delicious, and fast to arrive. Pricey, but you definitely get what you pay for. The servers are very friendly and attentive. 10/ 10. I will Absolutely be returning

12/10/2025: My favorite takeaway sushi spot, a must stop every time we visit Cork, right in the heart of the English Market. So many choices of sushi to choose. I also really loved their poke bowl. Very affordable. Highly recommended.

11/10/2025: Best sushi ever tasted, tuna roll was out of this world. Great selection, even had vegan rolls also.

26/09/2025: We loved to go to Dashi and it was our go-to takeaway in COVID times. I ordered for collection on a Thursday evening at 7pm, half of the sushi options were gone and the curry and udon noodle dishes (or at least parts thereof) were heated in a microwave, and it still took them 25 minutes to put the order together. The dishes lacked veggies and where mediocre at best, and I couldn't finish the seaweed salad. Very disappointed.

18/09/2025: Visited the place just for the first time, as I saw they have a lot of great reviews, and variety of options, but unfortunately were disappointed, as many of the ingredients weren’t just included. They show in the menu that the sushi has variety of ingredients, and a lot of interesting stuff like: asparagus, chive, chilli powder, and so, but unfortunately they just used instead of the asparagus the curcumber, and we had no chives or chilli powder, although we should have had😟 Also the trout sushi we had was half raw/and half cooked👀

27/09/2025: Really high quality food. Who ever said eel is rubbery is lying, the eel is amazing and well made/prepared. The sushi is bang on top class in Dublin, dunno about their delivery I only collect, but I have over 50 orders and every single one is perfect. Never disappointed so far! Also staff friendliness is next level 👌 💯

09/11/2025: This place is alright. But ramen in here is anything but ramen. Broccoli? Fried egg? Just usual pasta? Hm, just don’t call it ramen.

09/11/2025: We were charged 2€ in a very rude manner by one of the waitresses just because we left one unedible spring roll and half a chicken cheese roll that were both so greasy there was a puddle of oil at the bottom of the plates. Not coming back.

12/10/2025: First of all the prices on the outside are not matching with the ones inside. On the outside menu it says a bowl of ramen is around 18€ but when you look at the actual menu at the restaurant it comes up to 24/25€. The portions of soup are big, but Tonkatsu ramen has absolutely no flavor. The chicken bites were quite nice. Overall I would not recommend this place.
