24/01/2026: Just finished our dinner in here with my friends tonight. I decided to try their beef teriyaki served with vegetables and rice. I have to say, I made a great choice for dinner. The steak was cooked to my preference—rare to medium—and it was absolutely delicious: very tender and nicely seasoned. I can put it into one word: excellent. Thanks to all the staff on the floor and all the chefs. We had a great time at your place. Highly recommend!

05/01/2026: High quality sushi with excellent service! We tried a variety of dishes off the menu and particularly enjoyed the california roll. The interior of the restaurant is small so I recommend booking a table in advance, as when we arrived our reserved table was the only one not occupied. The staff are very respectful and kind, along with the food being well worth the price, Tani is my go-to place for sushi!

21/12/2024: Myself and one of my friends had the teriyaki chicken don and it tasted so good. The chicken was marinated and the rice mixed with the sauce was heavenly and a great mix of savoury and sweet. The egg was chopped up very finely and had a soft texture and the green beans had a very refreshing flavour and I think it was blanched so it had a very refreshing crunch to it! Some of the juices sunk down to the bottom of the bowl and it was such a sweet and delicious flavour. I would say we waited quite a while but there was only one cook when we went so it made sense. The inside is decorated really well and the atmosphere felt really welcoming. My other friend had the tempura sushi roll and miso soup and she really enjoyed it. Price wise, you are definitely getting more than what you paid for. I've paid more in other restaurants for less amounts of food. I paid €18 for the teriyaki chicken don and I would definitely say I got my money's worth. The wait was like 40 minutes for 3 people and it was quite empty, so if you are on a tight schedule you might not want to go, but I personally don't mind waiting 40 minutes for a meal. 10/10 I would really recommend to go and I'm definitely going again!! 🤤🤤🙏🙏

11/12/2025: Cute place I tried after checking into hostel next door. Servers weren’t overly friendly, but they were efficient and on top of things. It’s small inside, so I waited about 10 minutes in the rain for a table. Not too bad, as the place was busy. I ordered the Takara Rainbow Set. Unfortunately, the sushi did not taste very fresh, and the tuna didn’t look fresh either. I usually inhale a plate of sushi, but I didn’t finish this one. I don’t know if it’s just the time of day or week that I came in, but I was disappointed. But I would try the place again, as I like their menu options and the vibe was cosy.

05/01/2026: Firstly,the restaurant was empty this day. Yet they had a lot of staff on, somehow the service was sort of slow and food took a long time to arrive. We got the all you can eat for the sushi, but you will notice they will take their time on purpose as to stretch your 2 hour stay as long as possible. For example, after being asked, "are you waiting on a dish?", I said yes and then in 1 second you hear a ding from the kitchen and the dish comes out. They say you need to use the paper to mark the next round you'd like and that they'd bring it down to you. However they'll take a long time to bring you the paper so I just kept asking for it myself. That's the first aspect of the greediness and scam atmosphere you'll see. I noticed how the kitchen staff were literally doing nothing while we waited ages for food, making me see how the scam works, they'll stretch the 2 hours as much as possible. Be aware. The food itself is low quality sushi, let's not kid ourselves here, you'll get pieces 90% cream and rice. Everything tastes the same and takes forever to come. Ontop of these issues, the food would come WRONG, we remembered clearly what we had ordered and some of it didnt arrive or a completely different plate came such as one with tuna and sweet chilli that we never ordered and we hate tuna and sweet chilli. Another issue is the atmosphere, near us, the area wasn't being used so the lights were off and it was very dark and strange to see in a restaurant, the music was horrible with random tracks playing such as psytrance tunes as you want to enjoy dinner. It's such a mixed strange place without any direction or theme and yet they pretend to be high end and charge you too much. I would not return.

04/01/2026: I have not been there for about 7 years since I moved to Dublin went there today with family. And must say very sad that food quality is none and food come cold very cold. Prices are Double then before quality worst ever.

20/01/2026: Surprisingly very very satisfying place, very fresh food you can see how chefs are preparing the food, very yummy and 5 mins away from our house! Definitely will come back. My husband and I are very picky with food and we loved it.

20/01/2026: I ordered food for takeaway and was waiting for my order near the entrance. At that moment, I was calmly talking on the phone and was not disturbing anyone. A waitress named Camilla rudely told me to leave the restaurant and wait for my order outside, which I found extremely inappropriate and disrespectful. I was a paying customer waiting for my order and was not breaking any rules. This kind of attitude towards customers is unacceptable and completely ruins the experience, regardless of the quality of the food. I am very disappointed with the service and hope that management will pay attention to staff behavior and improve customer service.

20/01/2026: Visited with gf, we had: Squid Tempura starter with Tuna Steak (rare) and Tofu steak, both with a side of rice. It was my first time visiting and her second, the food was literally steaming hot when it was served! Did mean I burnt my tongue trying to eat it because I was hungry! But good to know that the food was cooked fresh! The steaks were surprisingly filling and we both ended up leaving most of our rice untouched, so if I go back again I'll just get a main with no side. I'd definitely go back but get their earlier so I'm less hungry and can wait for my food to cool down more! Toilets were also very clean - which is surprising nowadays unfortunately! So that is notable too. Considering how busy the restaurant was, it wasn't too loud thankfully and the background music was nice, also not too loud, so you could hear what people were saying! Also shouldn't be notable but I've been places recently who have the music up way too loud so you have to shout!

10/11/2025: I am not a mad sushi lover nor sushi expert but I really enjoyed it in this place. Duck Ramen was also very good just it had too much of noodles. I would prefer more vegetables and meat that noodles.

30/10/2025: Koshiba is the best sushi in Kildare, and possibly in Ireland. I love eating there.

19/01/2026: Myself and a 3 friends popped in after a long convention day and ordered dinner ! The waiter was so so kind and lovely, I didn't catch his name but he told us he was Malaysian, truly made the evening! Genuinely considering going back just for him! ✨️ Food was lovely and out quick, we all loved it! Lovely quiet and yummy 🙂‍↕️

18/01/2026: We arrived for Korean food and were positively surprised that they have more of a mix between Indian and Korean ramen, with multiple options aside. Prices are higher, but the content is also much more fulfilling (usually ramen is more meal in a broth, and in this case more broth in a meal). I recommend the place.

14/01/2026: Really great spot. The fried chicken is top notch (that sauce!). Ramen is great – tonkotsu pork with shoyu is my go to. Chill vibe and easy going place.
