18/01/2026: Staff are lovely and attentive. Service is quick without feeling like you’re being at all rushed. The food is absolutely incredible. Portion sizes are great - I ordered a 4pc sushi, a portion of fried squid, and a side of noodles; and didn’t really need the noodles. Great vegetarian options. Will definitely be visiting again.

25/01/2026: Really good soft shelled crab rolls, sashimi, nigiri, all top quality delicious 🤤. Didn't get any cooked dishes but they also smelled quite good! Service was attentive and police not overbearing at all. Place was cute and central can see why it was so packed! Can't wait to go back.

19/01/2026: I ordered the Beef bento box 🍱, and my partner ordered the Musashi Ramen 🍜. It was an amazing way of trying a bit of everything, and the bento is very complete. We absolutely enjoyed it, and we'll come back again for sure 😊

03/01/2026: Unfortunately, I had a bad experience with the service. The waitress was quite rude and rushed us, and she also complained about us not being happy paying the service charge. This is not Japanese-style hospitality at all. The food was alright, the prices were reasonable, and the environment was okay. I wouldn’t return. 😕

31/12/2025: The place is very pricey and the website is misleading. Just before the visit I checked the prices on website. The ramen was 18.25, when we were ordering the price was easy higher around 25. It's fine for me to pay such price if the food is tasty and I get a good service, but our experience was very different from it. We waited quite a long time to just get the tap water and asked for it 3 times. The ramen itself was average.

08/01/2026: Amazing experience of live Japanese grill. Skillful chefs. Was there for a birthday celebration and they made the day much more memorable. Food was top quality and tasty.

07/01/2026: A spur of the moment dinner which left us impressed with value for money and happy to enjoy a Dublin institution. After work, we wandered in and were seated quickly in front of the windows with a view of George's St. The service was impeccable and friendly. I ordered the Chicken Katsu Curry and my partner the Regular Dinner Bento. We were very pleasantly surprised with what came out, the curry was delicious with a generous breaded chicken breast on top of steamed rice and served with a luscious curry sauce. Pickles and a cabbage salad on the side brings freshness and crunch. His bento was even more impressive, lamb curry, teriyaki haddock and huge pieces of cod karaage with the usual bento accompaniment of sushi, miso soup, rice and salads. I hadn't been in such a long time and it's wonderful to be pleasantly surprised by an old favourite.

07/01/2026: This place is the best for ramen! Such great value for money, I ordered the seafood ramen and had so much fish😁 Podge was a pleasure to have as our waiter, such a lovely and welcoming person thank you for making an amazing meal even better!

23/01/2026: Since I moved to Dublin, this has been my favourite place to have sushi. I always go for their Salmon Lover Platter and Salmon and Avocado Norimaki, their salmon is very fresh and rice is cooked to perfection. The staff is very nice and profesional. Certainly recommend.

19/01/2026: They are just crazy good. I booked a table for a birthday dinner last minute and when we arrived they showed us our table instantly, the food order was taken and 5 minutes later we were enjoying our starters with a beautiful Japanese beer. They also surprised my friend with a birthday cake and it made his night! The food was beyond description, so fresh and delicious. The servers were very extremely kind, no amount of tip is good enough for their kindness! Would 100% go back here for any occasion.

24/01/2026: Just finished our dinner in here with my friends tonight. I decided to try their beef teriyaki served with vegetables and rice. I have to say, I made a great choice for dinner. The steak was cooked to my preference—rare to medium—and it was absolutely delicious: very tender and nicely seasoned. I can put it into one word: excellent. Thanks to all the staff on the floor and all the chefs. We had a great time at your place. Highly recommend!

05/01/2026: High quality sushi with excellent service! We tried a variety of dishes off the menu and particularly enjoyed the california roll. The interior of the restaurant is small so I recommend booking a table in advance, as when we arrived our reserved table was the only one not occupied. The staff are very respectful and kind, along with the food being well worth the price, Tani is my go-to place for sushi!

11/12/2025: Cute place I tried after checking into hostel next door. Servers weren’t overly friendly, but they were efficient and on top of things. It’s small inside, so I waited about 10 minutes in the rain for a table. Not too bad, as the place was busy. I ordered the Takara Rainbow Set. Unfortunately, the sushi did not taste very fresh, and the tuna didn’t look fresh either. I usually inhale a plate of sushi, but I didn’t finish this one. I don’t know if it’s just the time of day or week that I came in, but I was disappointed. But I would try the place again, as I like their menu options and the vibe was cosy.
