Sacre Coeur

Sneem
29/01/2026: The Reality Check: Sacre Coeur Restaurant Review Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Let’s talk about the elephant in the room: the price. I see people moaning about the cost of a meal here, but let’s look at the actual math of living in Ireland in 2026. The average house price is hitting half a million Euro. The average wage is stuck around €16 an hour. If you think a chef—a skilled professional—is going to cook you a high-quality meal for pocket change when their own costs are upwards of €20–€30 per household head, you’re living in a fantasy land. The Lowdown: The Food: It’s incredible. Fresh fish, crab claws that actually taste like the ocean, and portions that don't leave you hungry. This is a family-run gem, not a factory. The Vibe: Proper traditional Irish hospitality. Cosy, warm, and authentic. The Price Tag: Expect to pay €50–€60 per person for a full experience. The Verdict: Ireland is not a cheap country. Quality costs money. If you can’t afford to pay for the talent in the kitchen and the atmosphere of a place like Sacre Coeur, you have two very simple options: Get a job that pays better. Go to McDonald’s. The Euro Saver menu exists for a reason and it suits some people just fine. But if you want a real dinner in a gorgeous village like Sneem, stop complaining and pay the price for the quality you're getting. If you don't like it, go elsewhere. For the rest of us who appreciate great food—this place is a must-visit.
18/10/2025: Don't know why but just didn't expect something like this in a small vilage! Amaizing

Guesthouse Stonehouse

Sneem
16/10/2025: We were touring the Ring of Kerry and stopped here for lunch. A small but clean restaurant with high-quality produce. The best oysters I've ever had. Oddly, they didn't have Guinness on tap. Perfect Irish coffee! Definitely a place to return to.
22/09/2025: We just got home after a wonderful week. It always feels like coming home. Thanks to your family. A week of fishing with skipper Jacky oShea was fantastic. And the food at the Stone House was delicious.

Hungry Knight

Sneem
20/11/2025: I dream of this fish and chips. It’s incredible. The fish is cooked to perfection. John is an absolute gentle man and makes everyone feel so welcome. I’ve never seen a chipper with a wood burning stove inside! Absolutely incredible. Fish and chips by a fire was never as good as it is the Hungry Knight. Counting down the days until I’m back there again.
18/10/2025: I don't know how this place has a 4.2 rating. Of the entire 10oz meal, plus fries with cheese and garlic sauce, the only good thing was the hamburger meat – probably thanks to the butcher from the nearby shop across the street. The fries were hard, and the bun looked like it came from a supermarket, which isn't befitting a place that claims to be an artisan burger joint. In Poland, this level of quality would probably deserve a rating of around 3. On the plus side – the service was very friendly and helpful. Perhaps the quality of the food is different in the summer, but unfortunately, I wouldn't recommend it in October.

Stone House Restaurant

Sneem
17/08/2024: ‘Best 2 dinners, I’ve ever eaten’ says the father and that’s saying something. Went for the fish platter - unbelievable. Service was spot on, including my 7 year nephew who was clearly auditioning for a spot on the team. Next time we’re in Sneem, I’ll be there. Unmissable.
07/07/2024: The staff we friendly and the dining room was cozy. Was really looking forward to their fish and chips but was underwhelmed. More like chips with a wee piece of fish. The batter was lovely though but chips a bit soggy.
