The best restaurants in Sneem

30/06/2025: Be careful and check the prices before paying, I was very unpleasantly shortchanged at the checkout, I had the feeling that the final price was made up during payment. Regardless of this, the pastries are wonderful.

26/06/2025: I had the best scone of my life here at Kelly’s! The owner is so friendly! I feel like I’ve known her forever after just one visit!

10/07/2025: Nice pub but ordered a serve of potato skins - after 45 minutes still waiting. Money was refunded. Do not patronize this place.

08/07/2025: Very nice friendly bar restaurant. Food excellent, generous portions, beautiful location and super friendly staff. Toilets spotless.

11/05/2025: Looking for drinks, food or even ice cream this place will have you covered. Also has off-licence with good selection of wines and beer. A multifaceted place in the heart of Sneem village. Ice cream is locally made and good quality if pricey, single scoop please! If staying or passing through area this is worth checking out.

07/05/2025: Had some ice cream here after eating lunch at a different place. WOW… the ice cream was phenomenal! We had the mint chocolate chip, my husband usually gets this flavor but he thought this was one of the best he has tried in a long time. I had the dubai chocolate and lemon meringue. The lemon meringue flavor was definitely the star of the show! So unique and fun to eat.

14/07/2025: As dog owners who bring our furball every time we visit sneem, we never had the opportunity to eat at Sacre Ceour but this weekend we saw some umbrellas outside do decided to give it a try. Oh boy we we delighted we got to, what amazing seafood, beautiful presented, perfectly cooked and delicious to eat. Really friendly and helpful staff and great vibe about the place. In fact it was sooo good, we went back a second night and look forward to visiting again soon, thank you to Trish and her team, congratulations to you all

06/07/2025: OMG.... what a great experience. I am infamous amongst my in my friends as the 'stickler' when it comes to restaurants and service.... place the glasses on the table so that the labelling faces the guest.... and the volumetric measure faces away from the guest!! The Sacre Coeur in Sneen scored well. The food was excellent... well portioned, and served HOT! I decided to go 'full hog'. I had soup of the day.... one of two soups of the day!... mushroom.... excellent (10/10). My mains was hake... with pureed potatoes & veg.... as good as it gets (8/10) I enjoyed a sorbet for desert (8/10). I had a glass of wine... I recall it was a Merlot(?)... it was OKish. It had not been opened on the day. OK... house wine is what it is... 7/10. The table setting was simple. (8/10)... the decor simple, but tasteful (7/10). The high ceiling promoted a somewhat sterile 'dining room' acoustic backdrop. I feel that an inspired interior designer could improve this. The overall attention to detail / cleanliness was excellent (10/10). I was impressed at the way the staff cleaned up after a somewhat messy (normal!!) toddler... not just chuck the 'crumbs' on to the floor and leave it there to be trodden in (standard practice elsewhere here)... nope, all swept up and cleaned properly... WELL DONE! Finally.... the service... younger (20s) servers... best described as sufficient... courteous... reasonably attentive, but did tend to turn away before I had finished speaking. Unfortunately they missed a chance to smile, and offered a minimum engagement with the guest. This is untypical for this region. The prices.... perfectly acceptable. Will I go back.... FOR SURE.... this time with a group!

20/06/2025: Nice little restaurant, a bit off the beaten track. Very friendly staff with good advice if you're unsure what to order. The prices were really reasonable.

31/05/2025: On the way from Valentia Island, we stopped at a tiny restaurant. I was positively surprised by the fresh and good food. Clean and intimate. Prices reasonable. Fish and chips 16.50... I recommend it.
