The best restaurants in Celbridge

11/01/2026: The Village Inn is a truly special gem! We were promptly greeted and our names taken by Ross for the waitlist, who was incredibly charismatic and helped us get a drink while we waited for a table. We instantly felt like friends with the staff and customers there. A nice man whose name was Dugan or Donnel (I think, I apologize if I misspell/misremember names here!) told me he could make me the best espresso martini of my life. I doubted him, but it truly was the best of my life. And I’ve had hundreds! Keen (spelled phonetically, I apologize again for not knowing how to spell Irish names!) took care of us while we waited for a table and was happy to chat with us. The rugby game was on and it was so fun to cheer with other patrons! When we were sat for dining we had the absolute pleasure of being taken care of by the kindest and most attentive servers, Lauren and Jane. They were knowledgeable about the menu, quick with recommendations, and happy to accommodate our gluten intolerance. Plus, they are good craic! The food was delicious, the cocktails phenomenal, and the service technically great. But like any good restaurant or pub, the true value is in the quality of its staff. The Village Inn is wealthy in its charming and skilled staff. We will be returning often and tipping generously!

07/12/2025: The food is super, the climate is slightly chilly but it might be because of the winter. The staff are very friendly and nice. (The vanilla matcha could have a bigger note of vanilla)

10/11/2025: Absolutely fantastic experience — great food, excellent service, and a 6-star ambience! You can truly relax and enjoy your meal while listening to the soothing sound of the river. Bonus points for being open from 9 AM to 9 PM on Fridays and Saturdays, even though Google still lists their hours as only until 7 PM.

31/12/2025: Delivery arrived cold and so late, plus a burnt attempt at bruschetta, not acceptable.

03/01/2026: Great location. Rooms as described, small but user friendly with a great shower and toiletries. Have been 3 times now, will be my go to in the future for a quick Dublin City break.

02/01/2026: The hotel rooms were not ergonomic, they were very small, and there wasn't even a wardrobe. Also, the room overlooked a construction site. The bed was very uncomfortable, and the air conditioning system didn't work efficiently; you had to wake up constantly at night to check it, so you got cold. It's not a hotel we would choose again.

18/07/2025: Restaurant is nice and cosy however the customer service is beyond terrible,just a bunch of kids awkwardly standing there. We had to wait an hour and twenty mins for our food. The price is not worth what you get, portions are very small. Terrible service, long wait and have the nerve to slap on 15% service charge for that experience. There was 11 of us, not likely any of us will be back!

02/07/2025: It used to be good but now it has deteriorated. There is no flavor, no taste. How can chef make the veg pakoras which are not properly cooked . It’s bizzare. Literally, the gram flour is raw inside. If someone is paying for food then can at least expect this much.

09/08/2025: Good amount of pumps to fill the tank, clean place, has some option for eating like sandwiches, coffees and chocolates, but nothing fancy. Still a petrol station on the end of the day.

28/09/2025: One of the best restaurants in Lucan/Leixlip/Celbridge/Maynooth area. The Dover sole meunière was simply outstanding. Better than fish I’ve had in Sole Dublin. Service was great too. Sound bunch!

23/08/2025: Attentive, friendly service. The sea food platter is generous in size and v nice.
