The best restaurants in Maynooth

23/07/2025: The sides used to be really nice here. Wings were unbreaded and essentially made fresh. Same with wedges - used to be real potatoes. Now both seemingly come from a frozen pack. Even spar wings and wedges would beat the crap out of them now. Staff are great and pizzas are still awesome. No point ruining the good pizzas and service with sub par sides 🤷‍♂️

10/07/2025: Shocking place in Maynooth. Was good up to about a year ago but the place has clearly focused on cheap ingredients, inexperienced low paid staff rather than hiring well. Portion sizes have reduced dramatically. Place doesn't even have Ketchup.

12/09/2025: Got share box. Chips hard enough to break your teeth. Onion rings over cooked a full of greasy oil, Batter sausage, not cooked properly, chicken over cooked. Don't know what to say except I will never go near that take away again. All so got two other orders witch were not much better. I have no idea how they can make a mess of making chips. It's a chipper?. Just give us your money and fill your compost bin when you get home.

02/09/2025: I used to like the food but the last four times my chips have been hard and they got the other wrong, keep your chips in longer you are half cooking them.

06/09/2025: Very disappointed with Romayos over that last while. This was the first time we ordered food from here since last year. The chips were undercooked, cooked in old, rancid oil and way too much salt and vinegar (to cover up) made them feel overly soggy. Battered sausages are still fine, which made this order feel better, but the soggy undercooked chips were its downfall. Unfortunately, all of the household were sick from this food over the last 24 hours. Continuously disappointed every time we decide to order from here. Please make sure that: 1. you change your oil frequently so you’re not using rancid oil and serving that to customers 2. ensure that all chips / food are cooked properly

19/06/2025: Asian woman working there very rude to me and my friend ,I ordered a coffee and she told me my friend have to order 1 too,I said he is allergic,she threw us out .a disgraceful experience

16/06/2025: I called in on Saturday 14th June for a coffee and a muffin to take away and attempted to pay with an online voucher I had received as a gift. I had the QR code downloaded to my phone as per the instructions. When they scanned the consumer they said it wasn’t registering at the till even thought the gift card number was under the QR code. The assistant said she couldn’t accept the voucher as payment so I left the store and my order as I refused to pay for something when I had a voucher to cover the cost. When I got home I checked the voucher online and was horrified to find that the cost of the goods I hadn’t gotten because my voucher wasn’t “registering”, had been deducted from the full cost of the voucher. There is no phone numbers for this shop and when k emailed the customer complains email address given on their website, the email bounced back. Absolutely appaling treatment by staff and it seems when there is a problem, there is no one around to rectify. I will be calling back in person tomorrow so I will update this post then.

13/09/2025: Would give 0 stars if i could. Had a large sausage pepper and onion pizza. Delivery was prompt, pizza was still warm but not hot. I couldnt eat more than 1 (enormous) slice because it tasted a bit off. Woke up sick at 3am and havent been able to keep food down. Please consider your employees hygiene & food standards.

15/09/2025: Good service, nice friendly staff, hygiene could be improved greatly as all the sweet treats are left open on the countertop and there was several flies helping themselves, really off putting, they should have plastic covers over the treats.

08/08/2025: Ordered tuna sweet corn and cheese on a roll. My wife had the soup combo. Soup + sandwich toasty. No butter on roll tuna dried out cheese was cut from a block of cheese not grated cheese. Absolutely shocking. The soup has no taste what so ever. Never again will we go there even if I'm starving. I had to give one star to do a review but honestly Zoro Star is what they get from us. 🙁

13/07/2025: We placed an order and decided to give them a second chance after the first order was completely incorrect last year. Unfortunately, this time we made a similar order, and it was again entirely wrong. It seems they don’t listen carefully during phone calls, and it’s very difficult to understand the person on the line because she rushes through the conversation instead of taking her time. If this pattern continues, the restaurant will face potential issues!
